Vinyl groove and a hunger for the dancefloor

Elliot Schooling's drive is born from a very direct way of understanding house: well-chosen records, elastic basslines, recognizable vocals, and a joyful energy that seeks to keep the dancefloor moving without pigeonholing it. His language revolves around groove, deep house, UK garage, and edits with a playful accent, with a sensibility closely tied to vinyl and London club culture. His sets feature a mix of classic references, recent cuts, and unexpected twists—a combination that explains why his name appears more and more associated with the new British wave of selectors capable of uniting collector's criteria with an immediate reading of the dancefloor.

Appetite as its own ecosystem

His public history is closely linked to Appetite, the brand he launched alongside Liam Palmer and their close circle. The connection between the two took shape during their university days in Bristol, where they studied music production and began throwing parties with the idea of creating their own space to DJ. After those first steps, the project focused on London and evolved with a recognizable visual identity, linked to the donut and vinyl icon, eventually becoming a community that brings together parties, a record label, and a festival. Appetite went from small basement formats to venues like fabric, Village Underground, and 93 Feet East, and later to Appetite On The Farm, a large-format event in Essex with a documented capacity of 7,000 people. That construction explains a large part of his current position: not just as a DJ, but as a curator of a young, participatory scene very focused on the collective experience.

From the studio to the big booths

In the studio, Schooling has signed music for labels like Robsoul Recordings, where he released Disco Riddims EP in 2019, and has continued to expand his catalog with his own material and collaborations. Care Package. Vol 1 showed his side of edits and club house in 2024, while Love On on Southern Fried Records reinforced his facet as a solo producer. With Liam Palmer, he has developed a block of releases for Appetite and other labels, with titles such as Hey Johnny, Travelling Woman, Submission, Channel West, Dance Of Life, or Drip Like Me, in addition to remixes and recent collaborations like Serious and Vibe Check. In the booth, his growth has been reflected in appearances at The Cause, Chinois Ibiza, Pacha Ibiza, DC10, Shelter Amsterdam, and fabric, as well as a session for Boiler Room London alongside Palmer. His present moves between label work, international dates, and a high-physical-contact house aesthetic: warm, playful, and built for dancing.
