MARICAS, Lesbian House and Barcelona's FLINTA night

On the MARICAS dancefloors, dirty house, nineties techno, and euphoric trance became a language of their own: what ISAbella calls Lesbian House. In 2018, she co-founded—alongside Eloisa Blitzer and Gina Guasch—this LGBTQIA+ party, platform, and label, which was born to open a FLINTA space in a Barcelona where the electronic nightlife barely reserved a place for women, lesbians, and trans people. Resident Advisor chose it as party of the year in 2024. Previously, in 2016, she had launched Mistress at La Macarena, a platform that prioritized female DJs and emerging talent.

Audio Exótica, Peach Discs and the label's imprint

In 2020, she debuted as a producer with the EP Audio Exótica, the first vinyl from MARICAS Records: five tracks between house, breaks, dirty rave, and electro, with Contacto and Extrema as flagships. Since then, she has released on Peach Discs—Rodeo opens Peach Pals Vol. 5 in 2026, following her appearance on Vol. 2—and on the compilations of her own label, where she also serves as A&R. During the lockdown, she promoted the series The Art of Staying at Home and played at Boiler Room's Streaming From Isolation. From closing Sónar to Berghain, Fabric and Dekmantel

The circuit has taken her to Primavera Sound, Glastonbury, Sónar—where she even closed the festival—, Dekmantel, Dimensions, Lentekabinet, Love International, and MUTEK. In clubs, she has occupied the booths of Berghain, Fabric, Nitsa, Fold, Robert Johnson, ://about blank, OHM, Kaiku, and Concrete. In 2021, MARICAS headlined a night at the Boiler Room Festival in Barcelona; in 2023, HÖR broadcast her b2b with Gabrielle Kwarteng at Dekmantel. She has also left an RA Live at GALA Festival and sessions at Whole Festival and DGTL.

Mixed Signals, Club DOS and the current pulse

Raised in Cali amidst her father's salsa collection, at 21 she moved to Barcelona for a culinary internship and learned to DJ with vinyl at Pile 43 in the Gothic Quarter. In 2024, she presented the audiovisual live show Mixed Signals with Velv.93 at the MIRA Festival and has spearheaded Club DOS at Sala Apolo. Today, her international booking is managed by Octopus Agents. She continues to defend a radical, festive, and deeply human club culture: queer visibility, community, and a selection that travels from classic rave to trance without losing the sweat of the dancefloor.
