The pulse of garage turned into global pop

The London club culture of the late nineties and early two thousands is at the heart of Joel Corry's language: elastic basslines, bright pianos, memorable vocals, and a direct structure that works just as well on the radio as it does on a peak-time dancefloor. He started DJing at thirteen and, before his international breakthrough, gained experience in British and European booths. His time on Geordie Shore gave him television visibility, but his musical career advanced along a different path: singles like Back Again and Light It Up in 2015, a specialized show on KISS FM since 2017, and the momentum of his label Most Rated Records.

When Sorry changed the scale

The turning point arrived in 2019 with Sorry, an update of the Monsta Boy garage classic featuring the vocals of Hayley May. After being played on Love Island, it reached number six in the UK and recorded 41,000 Shazam searches in a single day. In 2020, Lonely confirmed that it was not an isolated success, and Head & Heart, alongside MNEK, transformed his reach: it remained at number one in the UK for six consecutive weeks, entered the Billboard Hot 100, and consolidated a formula of melodic house, pop chorus, and a mix ready for big stages.

Collaborations with a double life

Corry has built a catalog in which every song can have a radio version and a punchier one for his sets. BED with RAYE and David Guetta, OUT OUT with Jax Jones, Charli XCX and Saweetie, I Wish with Mabel, HISTORY with Becky Hill, and Lionheart (Fearless) with Tom Grennan expanded his presence on the charts without abandoning the club. The EP Four for the Floor brought together part of that era, and his debut album, Another Friday Night (2023), released by Asylum and Atlantic, traced a five-year overview with material like Drinkin’ alongside MK and Rita Ora, 0800 HEAVEN with Nathan Dawe and Ella Henderson, and Hey DJ. The album reached the UK Top 5 and achieved gold certification.

Ultra, Ibiza and the next mutation

In 2025, he held the 35th spot on the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs, a reflection of a position that combines the machinery of dance pop with an international club and festival schedule. He has performed at Ultra, Tomorrowland, and Ushuaïa Ibiza, in addition to maintaining a constant relationship with the Ibiza seasons. That same year, he debuted on the main stage at Ultra Miami and released works such as Get Right with Jennifer Lopez, Daydream with Jem Cooke, and Phases with Abi Flynn. In 2026, he extended that evolution with Stuck in a Loop, Devotion (Sweetest Emotion) alongside RAHH, and Whisper. His profile remains firmly rooted at the intersection of piano house, tech house, UK garage, and dance pop: music of immediate impact, designed to work on the charts without losing real utility in the booth.
