Under the Ariane rocket

At the 2022 Cercle Festival, next to the Ariane at the Air and Space Museum, KAS:ST delivered a set of over an hour that condensed their cinematic techno: hypnotic pulse, dark atmospheres, and a festival stage production. The project was born in Paris following a shift from house—the alias Ka One & St-Sene—and the Flyance Records label, founded in 2014. Before the DJ booth, there was another discipline: professional football in France, with stints at FC Istres and Nîmes Olympique.

Dysphoria, Afterlife and the anthem Hold Me to the Light

Dysphoria I Euphoria (2016) established a dark and melodic club techno. Road to Nowhere (2019) expanded it track by track, with industrial, drum and bass, and symphonic passages; the video for Hell on Earth became their most visible calling card. The EP Hold Me to the Light, released on Afterlife with Be No Rain and the Tale Of Us remix, established itself as an anthem for the label. Then came A Magic World, the live set at Berghain-Panorama Bar, collaborations with Artbat, Gordo, Moby, and Kerri Chandler, and remixes by Anyma, Mind Against, Chris Avantgarde, Kevin de Vries, and 999999999.

From Paris to Barcelona, from duo to soloist

In March 2024, the duo reconfigured: Karol Herse took another path and KAS:ST remained as a solo project, based in Barcelona. The sound claims French, Catalan, Italian, and Senegalese roots, and refuses a single label: from melodic techno to hard techno, the ambient and the psytrance twist of DGAF on HILOMATIK. The schedule has included Hï Ibiza, Pacha, Space Miami, Awakenings, Sónar, Time Warp, Tomorrowland, Ultra, Circoloco, and Loveland.

ADORE and the freedom of a personal label

ADORE (2025) is the first album conceived entirely as a solo artist: a record of identity and an open palette, with tracks like LEGACY and The Tribe on Flyance. The label functions today as a personal platform rather than a catalog for third parties. Between Afterlife, Upperground, Interstellar, and Cercle Records, KAS:ST remains at the intersection of the club and visual storytelling, with a phase that is more intimate and, at the same time, more international.
