High-voltage melody for big systems

A luminous tension between melody, club pressure, and festival scale defines ARTBAT. The Ukrainian duo turned a very personal reading of melodic house and techno into a recognizable language: firm basslines, expansive synthesizers, emotional breaks, and drops designed for huge dancefloors without losing their underground pulse.

Kyiv as the ignition point

Formed in Kyiv by Artur Kryvenko and Vitaliy Limarenko, the project gained momentum in the mid-2010s following the impact of 'Mandrake', a track that received support from Richie Hawtin and paved the way for an international agenda. The connection with labels like Diynamic was decisive in their consolidation: EPs like 'Trip', 'Planeta', and 'Upperground' established an identity based on groove, melodic drama, and progressive construction. During that period, pieces like 'Tabu', 'Papillon', or 'Atlas' also arrived, which were key to placing the duo at the forefront of the European melodic sound.

UPPERGROUND as its own universe

In 2021, they launched UPPERGROUND, a label and event platform that expanded their scope beyond the single format. The brand functions as a laboratory for their aesthetic: music with great emotional impact, careful visual production, and massive-format nights in cities across Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East. That dimension was reinforced with performances at Tomorrowland, Coachella, Ultra, EDC, Awakenings, Time Warp, EXIT, and Creamfields, in addition to their Cercle session at the Sugarloaf Mountain in Rio de Janeiro, one of the sets that has most cemented their global image.

Vocals, remixes, and headlining dominance

ARTBAT's career has been built on both original material and strategic collaborations. 'For A Feeling' with CamelPhat and RHODES, 'Best of Me' with Sailor & I, 'Take Off' with Armin van Buuren, 'Hollow' with MORTEN and Bonn, or 'She The Last One' with Vintage Culture show their ability to take vocals and pop structures into an expansive club territory. Their remixes for Monolink, The Chemical Brothers, Empire Of The Sun, Kölsch, CamelPhat, and Elderbrook have reinforced that position. Awarded as Breakthrough Artist of the Year at the Ibiza DJ Awards and recognized by Beatport and Mixmag, in 2025 they entered the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs. With UPPERGROUND active and recent releases like 'Afterparty', 'Dance', 'Fight Machine', and 'Break The Loop', ARTBAT maintains a central presence in the international melodic house and techno circuit.
