Faith, DJ booth and origins in Guimarães

Father Guilherme Guimarães Peixoto, a Portuguese Catholic priest, DJ, and producer born in Guimarães, in the Braga district. Ordained a priest on July 11, 1999, he has developed his ministry as a parish priest in Amorim and Laúndos, within the Archdiocese of Braga, and also as a military chaplain for the Portuguese Army, with missions in Kosovo and Afghanistan. This dual experience, both pastoral and human, explains a stage identity that does not entirely separate spirituality, community, and electronic music.

Melodic techno with a spiritual language

His contact with the DJ booth took shape during a mission in Afghanistan in 2010, when he organized social moments for soldiers. Upon returning to Portugal, he studied DJ techniques and began promoting nights to raise funds for his parish. Over time, that practice turned into his own artistic proposal: melodic techno, dance electronics, cinematic atmospheres, sacred chants, bells, choral voices, and messages of hope integrated into highly emotional sets. During the pandemic, he strengthened his bond with the public through sessions broadcast on the internet, taking his music beyond the parish space.

Lux Aeterna as a sonic universe

Father Guilherme has articulated his production around Lux Aeterna Records, a label from which he develops an aesthetic centered on peace, light, and transcendence. His discography includes works such as Ave Maria with Karetus, Póvoa Bendita, Selfish Love II, Veneremur Et Adoremus with Ebmath, Integral Ecology, Si Tuvieras Fe, Instrumento de Paz, and We Want an Unarmed and Disarming Peace with Diego Miranda, Dre Guazzelli, and Liah Barrett. His pieces transform liturgical elements, papal voices, and devotional references into dancefloor material, with a reading that seeks to connect collective emotion, rave energy, and a humanist message.

From Lisbon to the global circuit

The major turning point came at the World Youth Day Lisbon 2023, where he performed at dawn before an international crowd ahead of Pope Francis's final mass. Since then, his figure has expanded across stages and symbolic locations such as the Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro, Medusa Festival in Spain, Zamna in Chile, Dreamfields in Mexico, Beirut, Cluj-Napoca, and the Plaza de Mayo in Buenos Aires. Represented by Koolwaters Agency, he occupies a unique position within global electronics: an artist who unites the DJ booth, faith, digital culture, and large public gatherings through a language of melodic techno that is accessible, emotional, and deeply communal.
