Output, the Brooklyn combat school

In the Output booth, Layton Giordani learned how to temper a New York room: warming up, building tension, and closing at dawn. Born in New York in 1992, from a family originally from Velletri, he soaked up house and techno during his adolescence, with Danny Tenaglia's nights at Pacha NYC as the trigger. That club training—Pacha first, then his residency at Brooklyn's Output—put him on Adam Beyer's radar and opened the doors to Truesoul and Drumcode: the Unspoken EP and Rivington, his debut on the A-Sides series, in 2016.

Where It Begins, the Swedish label and a summer anthem

In 2017 he released Where It Begins, a twelve-track debut album on Drumcode, and closed an intimate circle with Tenaglia on Live Again. The following year, Space Date—alongside Beyer and Green Velvet—slipped onto the big stages and surpassed 19 million streams on Spotify. Phase II, Chrome on A-Sides Vol. 8, and Fuzion for Relief Records followed, while his name jumped to Drumcode Festival, Melt!, Warehouse Project, Motion in Bristol, Resistance Ibiza, and the Gashouder at Awakenings. In 2020, New Generation expanded the narrative: a second, more atmospheric album, with an urban landscape and the desire to push the label's techno toward a contemporary palette.

Beatport, Coachella, and the house-techno crossover

Between 2023 and 2025 his sound became more porous and more massive. After Life Moves Fast, Phantom, Rabbit Hole with HI-LO, or When I Push with Eli Brown and OFFAIAH, 2024 skyrocketed his reach: the remix of Last Night with Anyma reached the global number 1 on Beatport; PATT (Party All The Time), again with Beyer and Green Velvet, dominated the charts; he debuted on Experts Only, John Summit's label, with Paranoid; and reinterpreted girl$ by Dom Dolla and Strobe by deadmau5. In 2025, Act of God—with Linney and Sarah de Warren—, the remix of Focus, and At Night with Anyma consolidated international radio, from Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1 to MistaJam on Capital, KISS, and Diplo's Revolution. Live, the Yuma tent at Coachella, the closing of Circuit Grounds at EDC Las Vegas, and Space Miami already positioned him as a headliner.

MADMINDS, the label that brings the fire back home

In August 2025 he launched MADMINDS in New York, in partnership with Armada Music: a catalog for rare minds and a deliberate return to the city that formed him. It was Green Velvet who pushed him not to give the first track to another label. When It Kicks, Call You Back—with GENESI and Be No Rain—and Hold It Down (DARE) opened 2025 with a tech house pulse and a peak-time vocation. Today Giordani occupies that crossroads between large-format techno and club house, runs his own label, and closes the circle in the New York underground that saw him start.
