Early Years and Musical Awakening

Born Giuseppe Capriati on July 25, 1987, in Caserta, in the Campania region of Italy, Joseph Capriati discovered his passion for music at a young age. At 11, fascinated by a local DJ, he saved money to buy his first turntables. Initially drawn to urban rhythms, his early influences were hip-hop and classic house from pioneers like Masters At Work, Danny Tenaglia, and Little Louie Vega. He soon jumped onto local stages, taking on a residency at the Disco Seven Club in 2006 under the pseudonym Prince J.

The Discovery of Techno and Early Successes

The decisive turning point in his career came in 2003 when attending an event at Old River Park in Naples. There, he heard the hard-hitting sound of techno for the first time, courtesy of Dave Clarke and local pioneer Rino Cerrone. This experience transformed his vision, focusing entirely on Techno. After years of perfecting his production technique, he debuted in 2007 by releasing the Formaldehyde EP and his record Microbiotik on Globox Recordings. That same year, he released the acclaimed C'est La Vie EP on Analytic Trail, the label of his friend Markantonio, attracting the attention of industry giants.

Global Rise and the Drumcode Family

His undeniable talent caught the interest of Adam Beyer, head of Drumcode. In 2009, Capriati debuted on this prestigious label, starting a successful relationship. He released his first studio album, Save My Soul (2010), demonstrating his versatility, and in 2013 he released Self Portrait, consolidating his international status. The artist dominated the most important festivals on the planet and became a key resident of Marco Carola's Music On parties at Amnesia Ibiza. His legendary closing sets and extensive marathons, such as his memorable sets of over 25 hours in Miami and 27 hours at Sunwaves, went down in history, cementing his fame as an indefatigable mixer.

Metamorfosi and his Label Redimension

To expand his creative horizons, in 2016 he founded his record label, Redimension Music. In 2020, he released his ambitious third album, Metamorfosi, blurring the lines between techno and melodic music. This concept gave rise to his own eponymous party brand, triumphing for three prolific consecutive summers at Amnesia Ibiza. In 2025, the event underwent a major transition, moving to the acclaimed club Hï Ibiza, consolidating his global legacy as one of the undisputed leaders of the electronic scene.
