The connection between British groove and the punch of Madrid techno defines Luxi Villar's journey. A Madrid-based artist who developed her career between the Spanish capital and London, she found a turning point in British club culture: Printworks, Studio 338, Village Underground, and E1 opened up a way of understanding music as a craft, a community, and a dancefloor language. Following that period, she directed her studies toward Sound and Audiovisuals and began to read the industry from the inside, first as a promoter and later from the booth.

ONGOING, a brand of dancefloor and community

Her activity is not limited to the set. Villar drives ONGOING, a project that functions as an event promoter and label, and which has solidified her presence within the Madrid club scene. In that circuit, she has performed at venues such as El Sótano, The Bassement, LAB, Sala El Sol, Specka, Marula Club, Teatro Eslava, and CODE Fabrik; in London, her career has been linked to spaces like Egg London and E1. She has also served as a resident for nights associated with The Bassement and El Sótano, two benchmarks of her development in Madrid.

Hard groove with house memory

Her sound combines techno, hard groove, tech house, techno groove, and rave rhythms with a foundation of house, UK garage, Detroit, and drum and bass. That mix explains the energy of her sessions: rapid changes, vocals, sharp claps, punchy kicks, and a dancefloor reading oriented toward constant movement. Among the references she has pointed out are Ben Sims, DJ Rush, Ben Klock, Chris Liebing, Kettama, William Kiss, Sam Alfred, and Benwal, but her identity is recognized above all in the friction between Madrid's techno culture and London's underground pulse.

From clubs to big stages

Her rise has been consolidated with performances at Hï Ibiza, elrow, Time Warp, RSO Berlin, Florida 135, Brunch!, 240km/h, Aquasella, Monegros, Amnesia Ibiza, and other club and festival formats. She has also been selected for the elrow emerging talent circuit, a boost that reinforced her projection beyond the local scene. On set platforms, her session at Aquasella 2025 and her appearance at Time Warp Spain have expanded the visibility of a proposal that is increasingly international.

Production and recent stage

As a producer, she has released music on labels and platforms such as Kappa Recordings, Relative Music, Vassnova, and her own environment ONGOING. Her release Surfbeat brings together the tracks Surfbeat, Distraído, and Shy in the Night Time under the reference ONGOING 001, consolidating a studio line focused on hard groove, techno, and techno groove. In her current stage, Luxi Villar appears as an emerging figure of Spanish electronic music with an agenda that connects Madrid, London, and the European circuit, and with an artistic narrative built from the booth, promotion, and production.
