Extatic, festival rave laboratory

When Maddix opened Extatic (XTTC) in 2023, in partnership with Revealed Recordings, he wasn't just adding another logo to the scene: he was giving a home to a crossover that was already occupying the big stages. Rave techno with trance memory, hard kicks, and an acid sound that pushes the festival into the club. That gesture sums up his place: bringing the rave back to the dancefloor without dropping the mainstage voltage.

He grew up in Eindhoven surrounded by djembe, piano, and drums—his mother teaches percussion—and he arrived at FL Studio in high school. In 2013, while studying at the University of the Arts in Utrecht, his free downloads received support from Hardwell, Afrojack, and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. Touching the Sky, on Armada, and Rampant, on a Spinnin' sub-label, marked his official leap; Raise Em Up, on Armada Trice, and above all Riptide (2015, Revealed), included in Hardwell presents Revealed Vol. 6 and heard at Tomorrowland, anchored him to the Hardwell circuit.

Revealed, big room and the Ecstasy cut

the second half of that decade consolidated him in big room: Smash This Beat and Bella Ciao with Hardwell, The Prophecy with Timmy Trumpet. Around 2018 he began to harden the core. In March 2020, Ecstasy (Revealed) made the turn public: more rave, more techno, more acid. Heute Nacht (2022) and My Gasoline (2023) made him a reference in festival techno, with support from Amelie Lens, Umek, Deborah de Luca, Lilly Palmer, HI-LO, and John Summit.

The subsequent catalog crosses labels and generations: ACID and Revolution with Hardwell, Take Me Away Again with Hardwell and 4 Strings, Hypnotizing with Umek, Close To You with KSHMR, Late At Night with Lilly Palmer, and re-readings of Tiësto and Armin van Buuren. The remix of Satisfaction alongside Hardwell and the one of Tell Me Why by Supermode placed him on the major streaming charts, with hundreds of millions of plays.

From DJ Mag to the Amnesia terrace

The leap in audience was measured in rankings and on stage. He entered the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs in 2023 (95th place), climbed to 69 in 2024 and to 53 in 2025; 1001Tracklists placed him as the 11th most played producer in 2023. He has played Ultra, EDC, Dreamstate, Parookaville, World Club Dome, Mysteryland, and Tomorrowland. In 2025 he brought Extatic to Amnesia (Ibiza) on three Fridays in July, signed Rave Till My Grave with Hardwell, and went head-to-head with Armin van Buuren at A State of Trance.

In 2026 he occupied the mainstage at Ultra Miami—with a B3B alongside Armin van Buuren and Oliver Heldens—and at Tomorrowland. Over 500 million streams and several number ones on Beatport support a project that is no longer a big room anomaly: it is one of the most visible paths of festival techno-rave.
