The Amnesia terrace as natural territory

The Amnesia Ibiza DJ booth has for decades been the point from which Mar-T has turned his residency into a language of its own. His relationship with the club dates back to 1999 and places him among the Spanish names most closely linked to Ibiza's electronic culture, not only as a long-standing DJ, but also as an internal figure of a key institution in the history of European clubbing. Born in Barcelona and raised in Sitges, he was shaped by listening to the nightlife of the Barcelona coast, with L’Atlàntida being one of the spaces that sparked his interest in electronic music before he established himself as a producer in the mid-nineties.

A house pulse with club tension

His sound has been articulated around house, tech house, and functional techno, with long-form sets designed to read the dancefloor, sustain energy, and allow room for eclecticism. That ability to adapt to very different contexts explains his continuity at Amnesia and his presence during the island's iconic seasons. In 2011, he reached a particularly visible milestone with the I WANT MY MTV parties in the main room alongside Layo & Bushwacka! and other guests, a period that culminated in the award for Best Resident of the Year at the Ibiza DJ Awards. Between 2012 and 2014, he was a resident of MUSIC ON, the night promoted by Marco Carola, and later became part of HYTE, another essential brand for Amnesia's Wednesdays.

Wow! Recordings and a dancefloor discography

As a producer and remixer, Mar-T has released on labels associated with the international club circuit, including Hot Creations, Cocoon Recordings, Get Physical, This and That, Yoshitoshi, Moon Harbour, 8Bit, Saved Music, and his own platform Wow! Recordings. His catalog includes works such as Sake EP, collaborations with Luca Donzelli like Paseando por Encants, Historia Roja, and Hugashaka, as well as remixes for artists like Gorgon City, Mark Knight & Funkagenda, or UMEK. The selection of labels sums up his position well: music oriented towards large DJ booths, with elastic basslines, constant groove, and an Ibizan reading of the night that avoids being fixed to a single label.

Beyond the seasonal set

Mar-T's career combines residency, production, promotion, and management within the Amnesia ecosystem. He also serves as CEO of Amnesia Ibiza and Nightevolution, a role that reinforces his structural bond with the evolution of the club and the island's electronic programming. Currently, he remains active with dates at Amnesia and on international circuits, maintaining the profile of an expert resident: a DJ capable of connecting the memory of Ibiza clubbing with the contemporary language of large-format house and techno.
