Born on July 9, 1988, in the historic city of Lucca, in the Tuscany region (Italy), Marco Faraone grew up in an environment deeply influenced by music. His connection to the sonic arts is a direct family heritage: his grandfather was a talented folk singer and guitarist, while his father stood out as a DJ and host of a pioneering radio show dedicated to dance music in his region during the 1980s. This early immersion in an environment where vinyl and melodies were an integral part of daily life sowed an unwavering passion in him. Although his first musical flirtations explored genres like hip hop and classic drum & bass, it was the rhythmic force of techno and the hypnotic groove of house that finally captured his professional vocation.

First Steps and Rise in the Italian Scene

Marco Faraone's determination to make a name for himself in the industry became evident very early on. At just fourteen years old, he began performing in various local clubs in Tuscany, honing his turntable technique and learning to skillfully read dance floors. His undeniable talent led him to secure, in his early twenties, a coveted residency at the legendary Tenax club in Florence. This institution, recognized worldwide in the underground scene, served as the perfect launchpad to go from being a young promise to becoming a highly respected selector, sharing the booth with established legends of the international circuit. In 2010, he achieved a major milestone as a producer by releasing the successful EP Strange Neighbors through the influential label Moon Harbour, which immediately attracted the attention of the global community.

Throughout his career, Marco Faraone has proven to be an exceptionally versatile artist in the studio and on stage. He flows with apparent ease between darker, industrial techno and the warmer rhythms of tech-house. Currently based in the city of Barcelona, Faraone is a regular figure in the lineups of the most important institutions of global clubbing, signing memorable performances in meccas like Fabric in London, Panorama Bar in Berlin, and Amnesia on the island of Ibiza, where he enjoyed a truly outstanding season during 2022.
