Future rave is born on the mainstage

In the biggest booths on the circuit, the MORTEN signature is instantly recognizable: dry snares, punchy basslines, and a melodic hook designed for the stadium. The Dane from Aarhus went from the local scene to redefining festival EDM alongside David Guetta, with whom he christened future rave: a cross between commercial energy, futuristic techno, and trance emotion that both have taken to residencies, tours, and the most high-profile dance floors in the world.

Danish hits, Kölsch and the remix that opened Hollywood

He started DJing at thirteen in a youth club and in 2008 broke into the charts with Højere Vildere, alongside Rune RK—today Kölsch—and Nik & Jay. The album Drop! (2009) and Nightclub Session (2010) solidified his name in Denmark. Domestic with Nik & Jay reached number 3; Fest number 2; and Every Time (You Look at Me) with Sisse Marie hit number 1. The Danish DJ Awards proclaimed him the country's best DJ in 2008, 2009, and 2010. In 2015 he remixed Adele's Hello and in 2017 the 2U by Guetta and Justin Bieber ignited an alliance that changed the course of his career. After moving to Los Angeles, his sound became harder, more cinematic, and more exportable.

Eighteen Fridays at Hï Ibiza

Since 2019 the tandem has signed anthems like Never Be Alone with Aloe Blacc, the remix of Avicii's Heaven, the EP New Rave (2020), and tracks like Kill Me Slow, Dreams with Lanie Gardner—awarded at the Clubbing TV Music Video Awards—, Impossible with John Martin, the future rave rework of Titanium with Sia, Permanence, or You Can't Change Me with RAYE. In 2022 they took the genre to an eighteen-week residency at Hï Ibiza and to the mainstages of EDC Las Vegas and Tomorrowland. MORTEN has also played at Ultra Miami, Creamfields, and Ushuaïa. In 2021 he debuted in the DJ Mag Top 100 as the highest new entry, at number 39; in 2022 he was 56th and in 2023, 90th. On 1001Tracklists he reached number 20 as a producer in 2021.

Future Friday, BBA and the big dance floor of 2025

Today he releases on Musical Freedom, Spinnin', and the Future Rave environment, with recent tracks like No Good, The Drill, Hollow alongside Bonn, Rotation, or Locked In with Guetta and Trippie Redd. He hosts the Future Friday show on Tomorrowland's One World Radio and has turned the BBA merchandise line into a sales phenomenon in Denmark. In 2025 he returned to the mainstages of Tomorrowland, EDC Las Vegas, and Ultra, and in 2026 he released the Live from Lisbon mix, over an hour long: proof that his sound continues to occupy the center of the big dance floor.
