The basement that sets the tempo

In the center of Valencia, Oven Club has turned its basement into one of the most consistent house booths in the city, and Pau Pérez is one of the people keeping it lit. He doesn't arrive as a one-night guest: he is a resident, second in command alongside David Pin and a frontline figure, the one who opens, takes care of the atmosphere and plays when it's time. The project was born at the end of 2012 in a small room at La 3, the electronic corner of a venue that at the time reserved the main dance floor for indie. It held about two hundred people and programmed house and techno with more passion than budget. Five years later, Oven became independent, moved, and remained as a club with its own programming: resident plus guest, support for local collectives and, except for Thursdays, without yielding the calendar to external promoters.

Thursdays and the talent pool

Thursdays are his territory. Pau manages them and has become a scout for those coming up behind: he listens to sets, points out humble work and pushes those who are in no rush. On the resident staff, he shares the bill with Pin, Sueezo and Blanch. When he started DJing, record stores in Valencia were closing one after another; now he is seen in that relay, from Killing Time / HC Records to openings like Resume and presentations of Special-K Records. He has played at Barraca, Spook, Caravaca, Nylon and La 3 itself, and his name appears at events in the Valencian scene such as Días de Campo in Montanejos or the Plan B Falles Festival.

Station Shiva, Adobado and the seven sins

Co-founder of Station Shiva Recordings, he has also maintained the pulse of Discos Malvarrosa, focused on new generations like Recho, Blanch, Merlos and Kuneo. In February 2023 he signed the Adobado EP with Sueezo, a 10-inch tech house record released on SZOX, with the Main Mix as a duet and a dub by Sueezo. Later he took over the creative direction of the 7 SINS series on Special-K Records, seven EPs conceived as capital sins; the first, Gluttony EP by T.S.O., was released in 2026 with his curator label. In the booth, the sound moves between house, tech house and those disco gems of the Valencian school that he reserves for long nights.

All-nighters, gardens and other dance floors

On April 12, 2025 he took over Oven from opening to closing in an all night long session that the club itself recorded as a journey of hours. There are mixes of his on Mixcloud from Ultrasound Music (2018) and warm-ups at Oven, and on YouTube he has left his mark with themuddshow at the club and with the eighth anniversary. Outside the oven, he has played at the Jardí Electrònic in the Turia, at the Berlin anniversary of Oven and as a guest at Carne Fiesta in Adeje. He remains, above all, the resident DJ: the one who is there when Oven opens, the one who takes care of Thursday and the one who keeps the pulse of Valencia without the need for a big-name tour.
