Biography of Rivellino
Sunday at Pacha, with its own signature
On Pacha Barcelona nights, Rivellino has turned his residency and Valhalla parties into recognizable territory: dynamic bass, lively percussion, and a groove that travels between indie dance, melodic house, and techno with an afro accent. Born in Cali, he brings to the European booth that emotional way of understanding rhythm that defines his city, refined over years in the Barcelona scene.
From the Cali dancefloor to the club circuit
His relationship with electronic music didn't start in the studio, but on the dancefloor, in clubs and festivals, and by organizing parties. For over a decade, he has worked as a DJ, producer, and promoter. He was a resident at La Terrrazza, the benchmark open-air club in Barcelona, and before that, he passed through underground spaces like Sideral. Since 2013, he promoted the Bloom Records Podcast alongside Golan Zocher, and trained near melodic house mentors like Kamilo Sanclemente. That deep foundation mutated into a more physical sound, with more tension and more dancefloor identity.
Weighty labels and an international agenda
The recording leap has been measured in labels with their own names: When Stars Align by CamelPhat, Simulate by Massano, DSK Records by Raxon, Eklektisch, Sincopat, TalkTalk by Bar25, Automatik by Henri Bergmann, and Impressum Records by Fideles. Mad Feelings reached the Indie Dance Top 10 on Beatport; the Gotta Cry EP, with Juanito State and John Cala, reached the Top 15; and his work on When Stars Align reached the Top 26 in melodic house and techno. He has also collaborated with Dabeat, Modeplex, and Andrea Castells. His music has received support from Solomun, Black Coffee, Adriatique, ARTBAT, Pete Tong, Argy, or Edu Imbernon.
Live, he has opened the VA: Show tour for Mathame at Razzmatazz, warmed up Brunch Electronik alongside names like Maceo Plex and Luciano, has played at Cova Santa (Ibiza) for Pantheon, at Nitsa (Sala Apolo), and at ADE in Amsterdam. The circuit has taken him to Germany, the Netherlands, Greece, Portugal, Morocco, Peru, Colombia, Andorra, and North America.
Valhalla, Avalon and the next chapter
Beyond the booth, Rivellino is the founder of the Valhalla Music concept and the Avalon parties, with which he has brought artists like Adam Ten, Kevin de Vries, Mita Gami, Lehar, or Ivory to Barcelona. In 2026, he remains a resident at Pacha, with a one-hour warm-up for Sasha as a recent postcard, and with a sound that is increasingly club-oriented: contemporary indie dance, hypnotic groove, and the will to build community without letting go of the dancefloor.
