A danceable bridge between Anatolia and the global dancefloor

Oriental melodies, cinematic vocals, and a recognizable deep house foundation have made Mahmut Orhan one of the most visible Turkish exports in contemporary electronic music. His sonic identity relies on the tension between Anatolian and Balkan root instruments, warm arrangements, and production designed for large sound systems, a formula that allowed him to move from the Istanbul club scene to international festivals.

Bursa, Istanbul, and the construction of a unique language

His professional relationship with music began very young in Bursa, before moving to Istanbul in 2011 and honing his craft in DJ booths and studios. During that early stage, works like Undesirable Life, collaborations with Boral Kibil, and tracks like Ceiron and Fringe appeared, which established his name within the Turkish deep and progressive circuit. The international leap came with Feel, alongside Sena Şener, a piece with contained groove and an unmistakable vocal that opened up the European market and consolidated his bond with Ultra Records.

Long-running songs for clubs and platforms

After Feel, Orhan expanded his audience with Save Me, alongside Eneli, and 6 Days, his reinterpretation of Colonel Bagshot's Six Day War. In 2018, he released One, a remix album that reinforced his connection to the Turkish pop repertoire and a very melodic sensibility. His subsequent productions maintained that mix of club elegance and emotional narrative: Schhh and Hero with Irina Rimes, Fly Above with Sena Şener, Lost with Giolì & Assia, Forgive Me with SOFI TUKKER, and other releases that moved his catalog between deep house, indie dance, nu disco, and an increasingly organic approach.

Pangea and the international scale

With Pangea, released in 2024, Orhan's multicultural aesthetic was presented as an album project: percussion, strings, guest vocals, and more physical basslines articulate a vision of a global dancefloor without losing the Turkish accent. Pieces such as Andalusian, Bayati Shiraz, Nighter, and Move On are part of this stage, in addition to an international agenda linked to high-impact events such as Ultra Music Festival, Coachella, Tomorrowland, EXIT, and Untold. His current position combines the format of a festival DJ, a producer of singles with a streaming vocation, and a bridge figure between European electronic music, Turkish pop, and the Afro and melodic languages that dominate the global scene.
