Dutch groove with an after-hours pulse

Between elastic basslines, dry percussion, and a very physical reading of the dancefloor, Toman has established himself as one of the most recognizable Dutch figures at the intersection of house, minimal, deep tech, and tech house. His language avoids easy impact: he works with long grooves, functional basslines, hypnotic details, and energy designed for clubs where the set is built in layers. Although his professional activity is linked to Amsterdam and the international dance music circuit, his roots are in Alphen aan den Rijn, in South Holland.

Vinyl, microgroove, and the No Art leap

His recording career began to take shape with an identity very focused on the club. In 2017, he released his first solo EP on Cyclic, Mihai Popoviciu's label, and shortly after, he made his vinyl debut with Broodrooster EP on we_r house, a platform linked to Cinthie. That stage established several traits that are still present in his music: round basslines, contained swing, clean structures, and a mix of technical precision with after-hours ease. His productions received support from names linked to European house and minimal, and they expanded his reach beyond the Netherlands.

The turning point came with his relationship with No Art, a label and platform with which Toman reinforced his presence at festivals, clubs, and releases. The track Fantanized became an important reference in his catalog by staying at the top of the Beatport charts for over two months, and his link with No Art also included A&R duties. Since then, his name has been associated with a generation of artists who have brought the focus back to the groove, the bass, and the functionality of the DJ tool without losing a recognizable aesthetic.

Big booths, club labels, and High Ceilings

As a DJ, Toman has developed an international schedule that connects scenes in Europe, South America, and Australia. He has performed in contexts such as Awakenings, Straf_werk, Thuishaven, Watergate in Berlin, The Distillery in Leipzig, SASH in Sydney, and No Art events, in addition to appearing in key locations such as Ibiza, Barcelona, London, Manchester, Zurich, Bucharest, Uruguay, and Argentina. His sets usually move naturally between deep cuts, percussive tools, and brighter house moments, always with clear attention to the dancefloor's response.

In recent years, he has reinforced his catalog with releases and remixes on labels such as Cuttin' Headz, Eastenderz, Cécille, Solid Grooves, Moscow Records, and High Ceilings, his own label associated with his most recent phase. Tracks like Verano en NY, Seguimos, Backstage Beauties, Emotion, Booty Smoothie, and De la Buena show an evolution toward an increasingly direct, warm, and detailed sound. Currently, Toman occupies a solid position within European club-oriented house: a producer with an extensive catalog, a long-distance DJ, and a regular figure for promoters looking for groove, technique, and consistency.
