Biography of Trancemaster Krause
High-energy trance with a nineties memory
In the booths of the Polyamor family, the sound of Trancemaster Krause is recognizable from the first drop: full-throttle trance, old-school grooves, hard kicks, and 2000s hard house, crossed with accelerated pop edits. Raised in Dessau, in Saxony-Anhalt, he was shaped by the industrial grit of Berlin and Leipzig and has brought that dancefloor euphoria from East German clubs to festivals and basements across half of Europe.
Tmkrs, Janein and the Trancy nickname
He started out playing industrial techno, hard techno, and schranz. The Institut für Zukunft in Leipzig and Griessmühle in Berlin were his first club schools. After a year, he missed melody and groove on the dancefloor: he left behind the alias Tmkrs and adopted the name given to him by Janein—who taught him how to DJ—during a session among friends, without thinking of it as a TV nod. As Trancy, he summarizes his recipe: fast pop-edits, trance with a vibe, old-school hard house, and powerful grooves. He also organizes parties and handles all-nighters that span the entire spectrum of dance music with ease.
From PARA//E/ to the Polyamor catalog
On February 22, 2024, he released Trance an // Welt aus on PARA//E/, his first EP produced entirely solo from start to finish, far from the easy vocal of the moment. That agency opened up his international schedule; later, worldwide booking moved to Polyamor Agency and management to Cherry Pick. In 2025, he signed the EP Never Give Up on Polyamor Records, featuring Bittersweet alongside Bibiane Z. He has collaborated with Mika Heggemann (Mosquito), Ben Gold (Needed U, on Armada Music), and Ammara (Outta Space, on Sachsentrance), in addition to pieces with the Polyamor circle, such as the b2b with Davyboi. He has been producing in Ableton since his first tracks, which were already melodic and trance-oriented back then.
HÖR, Verknipt and the Tour de Trance
His sets have been seen at HÖR Berlin—including HÖR On Tour in Sofia—, Verknipt in Croatia, Fuse, PollerWiesen, Airbeat One, Electric Love, Hangaren in Copenhagen, and Mayday in Dortmund, as well as tours in Australia and all-night events like the Tour de Trance. He left his studies to make a living from music, grew up in the Halle scene, and moved to Berlin around 2024. By then, he was hitting nearly a hundred dates a year. Today, he maintains a high-energy trance—between hardgroove and hard house—designed to move dancefloors, not for the archives.
