Escape's DeLux as home

On the second floor of Escape Amsterdam, the Brainwash nights have found a consistent DJ in Ydro: physical house, afro house, and afrobeats for a room that never stops spinning while Rembrandtplein stays awake. The club schedules him on a recurring basis in DeLux alongside resident names like Raymundo, Saxy Mr. S, MC Yanto, Kriss Reeve, or Frederik Abas, in sets that occupy the early hours of Saturday until closing.

From the bar circuit to Caribbean nights

Before this permanent presence, his booth was built in the center of Amsterdam. He has played at Club Smokey, Hotshots Amsterdam—where he became head DJ—, El Punto Latino, Café Kooper, Bar Twenty Two, Café Stuy, Café Tante Roosje, Tapmarin, and Club Candela. On October 22, 2024, he shared the bill with DJ Betrim at the Caribbean Night at Club Smokey, a night of soca, dancehall, Latin, and R&B. On April 26, 2025, coinciding with King's Day, he returned to Candela for the Kings Day Extravaganza alongside Jay Stax, DJ Jeremy, and DJ Qincy.

Booth craft, not catalog

As DJ YDRO, he has been working independently since the end of 2022. By 2025, he had already played at Brainwash in July and August; in 2026, Escape kept him in DeLux from spring to autumn. That double life—house and afro in Rembrandtplein, Latin and Caribbean in Smokey, Candela, or El Punto Latino—defines his place in Amsterdam's nightlife today: a local club DJ, with the focus on the dance floor rather than studio discography.
