The Barcelona-based DJ and producer, who has shared his experience with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), releases his new track on October 9th, coinciding with World Mental Health Day.
For years, Jaume Aymar has lived with severe obsessive-compulsive disorder, which has conditioned his daily life and kept him trapped for hours in rituals. It was an especially difficult period during which suicidal thoughts also appeared, and which, over time, he has decided to share openly to help other people who might be going through similar situations. Today, under the artist name Mind Sylenth, he transforms part of that experience into "Need You", a new single that turns a message as simple as it is important into music: acknowledging that we need help is also a form of strength.
Melodic house and mental health: the background of "Need You"
Available on all platforms from October 9th via BDM Sounds, the release coincides with World Mental Health Day. A date that reinforces the meaning of a song that goes beyond the dance floor. With a dark and elegant melodic house production, accompanied by vocals and an emotional atmosphere, "Need You" puts the focus on those two words that are sometimes so hard to say: I need you.
"I make music because it is my therapy," explains the artist, who has spoken without filters about his experience in interviews, social media, and spaces dedicated to mental health awareness. His story connects with a community of more than 700,000 people and stems from a conviction he wants to convey with this release: asking for help as soon as possible can make a difference. Music is part of his personal process, but the message of "Need You" does not present songs as a cure, but as a way to express emotions and open conversations that remain necessary.

The track is born precisely from that desire to give a voice to what many people live in silence. Its sound is designed to work in the club, but its message transcends the dance floor: it is not always easy to recognize that something is wrong, to talk about it, or to lean on others. However, doing so does not mean giving up. It means taking a first step.
"If you have that person, tell them today. And if you are the one having a hard time, ask for help as soon as possible."
A direct invitation to talk, listen, and seek support, especially in a context where mental health needs more visibility and less stigma.
Mind Sylenth: music, experience, and awareness
Born in Barcelona in 1994, Jaume Aymar has been developing his career as a DJ and producer for nearly 15 years. During this time, he has released music on labels such as Blanco y Negro, Black Hole Recordings, Smash Deep, and 2Dutch, and has performed in countries such as Spain, the United Kingdom, France, and South Korea.
Parallel to his musical career, he has turned his personal experience into an opportunity to raise awareness about mental health through podcasts, talks, and collaborations with associations. This facet now coexists with a new artistic stage in which he is committed to a melodic house with its own identity, featuring vocals, emotional depth, and careful production.
With "Need You", Mind Sylenth unites both paths in an especially significant release: a song conceived for the dance floor that also invites you to stop, listen, and remember that no one has to face their difficulties alone.
