A seaside terrace turned city club

Direct contact with the Puerto de Alicante is the aesthetic and cultural key to Marmarela. The venue operates from the Muelle de Levante as a Mediterranean leisure complex where the dance floor, terrace, pool, dining, and musical programming are all part of the same experience. Its public activity began in 2014 under the identity of Marmarela Mediterranean Cocktail Club, with a hybrid proposal between a beach club, nightclub, cocktail bar, and event space. This mix has given it a unique place within Alicante's nightlife: it is not an underground club or a closed urban venue, but a space open to the maritime landscape, heavily influenced by summer and coastal tourism.

Three environments and a new indoor hall

The current configuration is articulated around several spaces with differentiated uses, including Pool Terrace, Main Terrace, Indoor Main Stage, and Secret Room, although for the user, the clearest reading is that of a venue with three large environments: outdoor terrace, club area, and indoor hall. In 2025, Marmarela reinforced its dimension as a musical venue by integrating the Baltimore Live project, an indoor concert hall with an announced capacity of 2,000 people, a stage with a mouth of almost 12 meters, a rear LED screen, dressing rooms, loading docks, large-format lighting, and professional sound. This evolution expands its role beyond the summer night and allows for stable programming throughout the year.

Electronic music, coast, and popular programming

Its musical identity moves between house, tech house, commercial electronic, urban music, club hits, and live formats. Marmarela should not be confused with the parties or cycles it hosts, but nights like Marmarela On Fire, Hype, Vice Club, or NEXO have helped put the venue on the electronic map of Alicante. Its booths and stages have featured names such as Marco Carola, Andrea Oliva, Manda Moor, Mosimann, Dario Núñez, Fantasm, or Onlynumbers, along with a new line of concerts with artists such as León Benavente, Siloé, Sexy Zebras, Miss Caffeina, Ojete Calor, Rufus T. Firefly, Barry B, ELYELLA, El Kanka, or Quique González.

Alicante in the key of a Mediterranean club

Marmarela's recognition in The World’s 100 Best Clubs 2025 list, where it reached 50th place, consolidated its image as one of the great nightlife spaces in the Comunidad Valenciana. Its value lies not only in the ranking, but in having turned a port location into a meeting point for different audiences: electronic clubbers, concert-goers, tourists, residents, and private event guests. The experience combines sunrises over the Mediterranean, VIP areas, a terrace, gastronomy, a pool in season, and long-duration sessions. In a city with a historically limited supply of venues for large live shows, Marmarela occupies a unique position between a coastal club, concert hall, and comprehensive leisure venue.
