Berlin trance gets tough

In the Berlin club scene, 2HOT2PLAY has turned the clash between hard house, peaks of trance, bounce, and the rhythmic punch of techno into their own language: fast, nostalgic, and driven forward. The duo draws from an early passion for rave aesthetics and years of studio craft to deliver high-impact sets, played at high tempo and designed to set the dancefloor on fire. They don't offer a decorative set: every date is planned as a complete experience, featuring unreleased tracks, their own edits, and a constant reading of the crowd.

Remix for Klubbheads and Amelie Lens' label

The breakthrough in their discography came with an official remix for Klubbheads, Bounce 2 Da Beat, and was solidified on labels such as Polyamor, Hot Meal, and RAW. Keep The Balance, released in 2024 by Hot Meal Records, was the track where their signature sound was recognized: a song that Funk Tribu and Bad Boombox ended up playing at ADE while one of them was crossing the Intercell dancefloor. The biggest international push came with Think About It, featuring Ida Corr, released by Columbia, a division of Sony Music Entertainment Germany: the track opened doors outside of Europe and became a peak moment in their live shows, especially in Australia. In the more underground circuit, Type Of Beat received support from Amelie Lens and was released on Exhale Records.

From Club Ost to Boiler Room and Tomorrowland

In the booth, they work as a team: production carries weight in the studio, while artistic direction and performance define their live act, with four-handed sets. In 2025, they signed their first tour of Australia, playing at Revolve, Electric Circus, or Howler, and performed at Boiler Room Amsterdam, at Shelter, in addition to a set at HÖR Berlin. ADE brought them back to Funk Tribu's Intercell. Their schedule has taken them from Club Ost, Rex Club, La Terrazza, and Fabrik to Tomorrowland, Extrema Outdoor, Sea You, Dour, HIVE, and Teletech. International booking is handled by Ember Artists; management by Motherload Management. They continue to release at a high pace—Give It To Me, Afterparty, Arriba, and collaborations with Armin Hermann, Glen West, ANDATA, or KYANU—and have established themselves as one of the most recognizable pairs in the new European hard dance wave.
