What sets AEREA apart on the dancefloor isn't just the tempo: it's hearing a live voice—in Spanish and English—threaded into a club groove. Based between Madrid and Berlin, the duo crafts a sound they call emotional techno: straight, geometric percussion, dense basslines, open atmospheres, and a constant tension between the machine and the human. Producer Al’ and vocalist Caar treat arpeggios and vocals like a conversation, not just overlapping layers.

An airy name and a live act filmed in the open air

The project was forged in 2021, after years of shared studio time and a natural drift toward dancefloor electronics. Their first single arrived at the end of that year. Since then, each release has been accompanied by a highly curated visual identity: videos in natural landscapes, sunrise sessions, and an aesthetic that takes the meaning of 'aerea'—atmospheric, ethereal, linked to the air—as their manifesto. That phase led them to accelerate the pulse and dive into hardgroove and more percussive rhythms, without letting go of the melody or the sensitive roots that separate them from anonymous techno.

Flowers, acid, and the major club circuit

In 2024, 10.000 Flores (No Mercy) and Ruido, a collaboration with Regal for the debut of ACIDBOY, put them on the international map. Amor Dulce (2025) incorporated Spanish guitar and a romantic narrative; Monsters, licensed by Universal through FUTURE TRANCE, and In A Spiral (2026)—a hypnotic hardgroove track that surpassed 200,000 streams in a few weeks—confirmed their breakthrough. Live, they have performed at Fabrik (Madrid), E1 (London), Gotec (Karlsruhe) with BCCO, and at festivals such as Dreambeach, A Summer Story, Medusa, Monegros, Mad Cool, or Aquasella. Booking is managed by Analog Agency. In 2026, the duo took that sung live set—a hybrid of trance, schranz, and hardgroove—to an increasingly wide European circuit, including Boiler Room in Maastricht, with the same starting idea: that techno can be physical and intimate at the same time.
