During Boudica nights at FOLD, ASHTREY treats the DJ booth like another dance floor: she never stops moving, mixes with urgency, and turns ghettotech, electro, and techno into a party of heavy bass, vocals, and percussion. As a resident of the platform Samantha Togni created to give visibility to women, trans, and non-binary artists, she has gone from London's underground queer raves to sharing the bill with names like I. JORDAN, fka.m4a, BIIANCO, or Lewis G. Burton, always with one fixed idea: that dancing should be about pleasure, not posing.

Jakarta on the bass, London on the agenda

Arriving from Jakarta and based in the British capital, she crosses scenes with the same naturalness with which she crosses genres. With roots in hip hop and UK garage, her sound expands toward ghetto-tech, electro, and a dirty techno with constant bass. As a queer and mixed-race DJ, she has said that spaces like Bodycon at Dalston Superstore are among the few where she doesn't feel merely tolerated, but truly seen: sweat, politics, and joy in equal parts. That compass also traverses Riposte at The Cause, Adonis, SEXTOU, HOWL—where she debuted a house set for Pride—and the E1 dance floor, from Polyamor to the lineup with Patrick Mason and LSDXOXO.

An hour of ghettotech and a network of radios

Her most-watched business card is the Ghettotech DJ Set from the INTROE SONIC series (2023): a session filmed in the booth that starts with bouncy rhythms and hardens into a more physical techno. On air, she has played on NTS (Rhythm Connection, April 2024), Pocket Radio Live—including the ASHTREY invites format—, Foundation.fm, Rinse FM with Steel City Dance Discs (February 2025), and the INFERNO Mix 009. The recording from Adonis in November 2024 and Cherry Pop, her first recorded mix, remain published.

From the Pride boat to TillaTec

With Boudica, she has closed the community circle she celebrates herself: the London Pride boat, her debut at TillaTec during World Pride in Amsterdam, and a session on Face2Face.tv. She has also jumped to Bristol with QUEERKY at Loco Klub and maintains activity between London and Paris. In September 2026, she joins Boudica's seventh anniversary at FOLD, still as a resident of a scene that loves her precisely because she doesn't fit into a single label.
