The Tresor basement as a destination

In 2024, Tresor announced Bailey Ibbs as a resident. It wasn't just any club for him: in 2018 it was the first one he ever entered, and that night in the Berlin basement reshaped his idea of what techno could be. Today, he doesn't just play in that booth; the venue has also opened up its programming to him, trusting his ear to push the house sound and honor a history he treats without nostalgia.

Night Service, from London party to own platform

From London, he has built Night Service as a party, label, and radio space on Rinse FM, alongside Paige. The leap to vinyl came on February 21, 2022 with the Volta EP, a techno debut of funk groove and percussion that received support from DVS1, Ben Klock, and Marrøn. Afterward came Not Into It (2023) and Posture Damage (2024). In December 2025 he released Notice The Silence, a fourth EP that is more internal, less obsessed with peak-time and more attentive to tension, fragility, and silence.

That independence runs through his career: label, party, and own catalog, instead of waiting for someone to open the door for him. In parallel, he has signed for Token, HATE, SLAM, KiNK, Dansu Discs, Voitax, and Frenzy, and has explored more open registers, from compilations on Room Trax to Layover Wanderings Vol.1, ambient pieces recorded in airports during tours.

British groove, club tension

Born in Derby, he spent time in Ipswich before settling in East London. He arrived at electronic music in 2012 and for years moved between UK garage, house, and breaks. After the lockdown, around 2021, the parties he was playing stopped fitting him: techno became his natural environment. He didn't cut ties with those roots. In the booth, he still slips in house, garage, and unexpected breaks over a hypnotic, sometimes mischievous pulse of a markedly funky techno.

He has shared long b2b sessions with JKS—a five-hour set at Tresor and a date at Intercell x BCCO during ADE 2024—and in 2025 he completed a South American tour that marked a rite of passage. In London, he is a regular presence at FOLD, fabric, SECTION., and Corsica Studios; in Berlin, at RSO and his residency. Worldwide booking is handled by Source Artists. The portrait is that of an operator of the new British techno wave: producer, DJ, editor, and programmer, with one foot in the genre's legacy and the other in not repeating it.
