Polyrythms from Concrete that Berlin wanted to sign

On the dancefloors of Concrete and Social Club, Bambounou refined a hybrid techno that deviates just enough: hypnotic house, IDM, and tribal percussion without ever losing the groove. Born and raised in Paris, in the 13th arrondissement, the son of a Malian father and a Polish mother, he translates that heritage—and his passion for astrophysics and dystopian science fiction—into polyrhythmic patterns that defy labeling. As a DJ, that same logic of surprise and balance runs through sets that jump from 4x4 to percussive breaks without losing the dance momentum.

When Modeselektor heard Alpha

He debuted in 2010 with the EP Animism on YounGunZ Entertainment; Alpha, the following year, was enough for Modeselektor to call him to 50Weapons. The EP Cobe —Cosmic Background Explorer— and the album Orbiting (2012) opened a cycle that was closed by Centrum (2015): two albums and five EPs of dense and precise club music. He also grew with ClekClekBoom, alongside French Fries, Coni, and The Boo, and collaborated with Joakim on Sound Pellegrino. Resident Advisor dedicated the documentary ORIGINS to him in 2015, when he was already a staple of the new French electronic wave.

Heavyweight remixes and the Bambe laboratory

He has rewritten tracks by Laurent Garnier, Jessy Lanza, Sampha, and Moby (Porcelain), and has shared the studio with Margaret Dygas, Simo Cell, Bruce, and Priori. After the closure of 50Weapons came Parametr Perkusja on Disk (2018), 021 on Whities (2019), and 033 on AD 93 (2020). In 2021 he founded Bambe with Cascade and Final Conference alongside Bruce; followed by La Sagrada (2022), C.R.U.S.H. with Priori (2024), and the EP Levantarse (2025), which is more stripped-back and textural. In 2026 he released Parsons on Aus Music, a dubby and deep house turn that confirms his taste for opening up the rhythm without losing dancefloor warmth.

Berghain booths and the DGTL Boiler Room

He has made Berghain/Panorama Bar, De School, Freerotation, MoMA PS1, Nuits Sonores, Atonal, Unsound, and Terraforma dance, and held a residency at iBoat (Bordeaux). The Boiler Room set at DGTL Amsterdam (2023) and the one for Cercle at the Institut du Monde Arabe (2017) summarize a selector of genre-hopping and physical tension. In 2026 he remains on the road —DC10 in Ibiza, Dour Festival, FOLD in London— and uses Bambe as a workshop for percussive, stripped-back, and moving club music.
