The funky house that arrived with a mustache, a cap, and "Paris City Jazz"

On the dancefloors of the late 2010s, Bellaire was unmistakable: mustache, cap, sunglasses, and a soulful house groove that seemed like an heir to the nineties, but with the pulse of someone who had grown up chopping samples on a computer. Northern France gave him the accent; hip-hop sampling, the method. By thirteen, he was already composing tracks for local rappers and, shortly after, he settled into FL Studio with the compass of Dr. Dre and J Dilla. In 2017 came Saint Amour, the first hit for AOC Records, and the following year the EP Paris City Jazz changed the scale: the title track became a classic of contemporary funky house, was certified as a gold single for export and, in 2025, as platinum, with some thirty million equivalent streams.

AOC Records, Bomel, Georges and the Glitterbox circuit

That same house became his own label and the headquarters for Bomel and Georges. After Framework (2018), Date At The Disco (2021), and Sunset Ballad (2023), with remixes by DJ Spen, micFreak, Moodena, and Georges, the producer from Lille refined a sound that blends jazz, disco, funk, soul, French Touch, and garage. In 2024, he released Never Stop Dancing alongside gospel vocalist Aaron K. Gray on Glitterbox Recordings. In the booth, he has taken that repertoire to Glitterbox nights at Hï Ibiza, Rex Club in Paris, Koko in London, Warehouse Project in Manchester, Piknic Électronik in Montreal, and a first tour through the United States and Canada in 2025, with dates in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Toronto, Montreal, and Brooklyn. The Secret Grooves edit series and sessions on Tsugi Radio or KEXP complete a profile as much a selector as a producer.

Born Funky, the album that closes the circle

On April 10, 2026, he released his first album, Born Funky: organic house with live musicians, mixed by Alf Briat (Air, Phoenix) and mastered by Alex Gopher. The album brings together idols and the new scene: Cerrone, Barbara Tucker, Dimitri From Paris, DJ Spen, Nic Hanson, Tour-Maubourg, and Fleur De Mur. Almost all the material is original; the most explicit exception is Lot More Love, a reworking of Got to Have Loving by Cerrone. With more than 180,000 followers, tours that pass through La Cigale and the Roundhouse, and a joyful, accessible, and deeply groovy house, Bellaire has positioned himself as a bridge between the golden age of the movement and the dancefloors of today.
