Biography of BOLO
Carne asada at four in the afternoon
At HARD Summer 2026, BOLO turned the festival's largest stage into a Chicano backyard: smoking grill, lowrider bike, Mexican flags, and some 25,000 people surrendered to the party. Eight years earlier, he had discovered the rave at that same event, among totems and the impact of seeing Diplo and Dillon Francis on a circuit. Returning to the main stage alongside Kali Uchis and Zedd, in front of tens of thousands of attendees, summarizes the leap of a DJ trained at weddings and quinceañeras to one of the most visible voices of Latin house in the United States.
The crossover the campus didn't have
Raised in the Napa Valley (California) in a Mexican family of Jaliscan origin, he learned the trade at age 14 as an assistant to DJ Shaggy, the selector for family parties. At Sonoma State University, he mixed campus house with reggaeton, hip hop, cumbia, and salsa when almost no one was doing it. During the pandemic, he trained in Ableton at his residence; in 2020, already graduated in marketing, he moved to San Diego. There he combined reggaeton and house remixes and refined his own sound: dirty four-on-the-floor, Spanish vocals, Latin percussion, and rave energy. Tracks like El Techno, Vámonos De Fiesta, and Like A Cholo, plus collaborations like Baile Bounce, Pa Arriba, or Sexy Mami with Vale, have taken that crossover to dance floors and platforms. In 2025, he surpassed 1.5 million streams on Spotify.
Vibraza, the label, and the traveling carne asada
With Vibraza Records, conceived as a platform for the Latin rave movement, he publishes his catalog and opens doors to producers like Rommii, Juos, and Close Friends Only. The B2B project Casa Amigos, together with Rommii, explores a Latin hardgroove with merengue rhythms and Spanish vocals. In parallel, he organizes Bolo's Block, daytime parties inspired by the carne asadas of his childhood, and merchandising pop-ups like Bolo's Bodega.
From the art car to 32 cities
The breakthrough came at Beyond Wonderland 2024: he called out to Latin ravers and filled a space for a thousand people with some 8,500 attendees. In the spring of 2025, he signed with United Talent Agency after a 4:00 PM set at Beyond Wonderland that gathered some 40,000 people. That year he toured more than 30 markets: EDC Las Vegas, HARD Summer, Lollapalooza, Big Night Live, and Academy LA. 2026 has taken him to EDC México, Ultra Miami, Beyond Wonderland, a residency at Zouk Las Vegas, and a sold-out triple date at the Hollywood Palladium (10,800 tickets in less than a day), with a 32-date tour and events like EDC Colombia. The goal, he has said, is bigger than his own name: to leave space for the next Latin generation on the dance floor.
