Rave instinct without a manual

The energy of Cera Khin moves between euphoria and darkness: high-voltage sets, sudden changes in direction, and a dancefloor reading that turns chaos into narrative. Her way of DJing avoids genre purity and embraces a very physical idea of the club, where hard techno, acid, gabber, schranz, hardgroove, trance, and rave edits can coexist on the same line of tension. That freedom, often summarized in her attitude of playing whatever she wants, has made her name associated with a generation of artists who have reactivated the rave language from a more emotional, fast, and uninhibited perspective.

From the Berlin scene to the Mediterranean pulse

Born and raised in Tunisia, she moved to Berlin in 2014, after the Tunisian Revolution, and there she absorbed club culture from the dancefloor before getting behind the decks. She did not arrive at electronic music following an academic path: she studied marketing, maintained a clear interest in psychology, and learned to mix autodidactically, as a reaction to a techno scene that seemed too uniform to her. Her first public journey was consolidated around radios and platforms like Noods Radio, Rinse FM, and NTS, spaces that allowed her to deploy a broad sensitivity, with an affinity for hardcore, electro, dark ambient, jungle, industrial music, and high-intensity rhythms. In 2022, she opened a new chapter in Barcelona, the city from which she has continued to expand her international reach.

Labels, live acts, and a community of her own

In addition to her facet as a DJ, Cera Khin has built an identity around her own labels and projects. LazyTapes, described as a space for tape and vinyl transmissions, published works such as the collaboration with Ossia on Guided Meditation, the tapes with Christoph De Babalon, and the EP Demons To Some Angels To Others, a key piece to understand her taste for the contrast between horror, trance, and euphoria. Later, she launched CK777 Recordings, a platform linked to a bouncy, trancey, and sharp techno, with releases such as Vampire Workout, Close Your Eyes with Cerrot, and the single Mamichula, where she also explores her own voice.

Her schedule has passed through high-visibility booths and festivals such as Berghain, Fabrik Madrid, Space Miami, Fuse Bruselas, Awakenings, Dour, Tomorrowland, Time Warp, EDC Las Vegas, Monegros Desert Festival, and Glitch Festival, where her session for Boiler Room reinforced her global projection. In parallel, the CK Invites series and the Technomentalhealth initiative show a less ornamental and more practical community dimension: supporting new talent, opening meeting spaces, and talking about mental health within an industry that demands constant resistance.
