Franky Rizardo

Beginnings and Training

Franky Rizardo, originally from Arnhem in the Netherlands, discovered his passion for electronic music during his early teens. At fourteen, he began to get fully involved in production and mixing, drawn to the classic sounds of house and techno. He quickly developed a distinctive style dominated by deep basslines, infectious percussion, and impeccable booth technique. His first performances in the effervescent local Dutch scene helped him refine his connection with the dance floor and catch the attention of promoters and important industry figures.

Consolidation and the Defected Era

The real turning point in Franky's career came when his talent resonated in the offices of Defected Records, one of the most prestigious house record labels on the planet. This alliance immediately catapulted him to the international forefront. Through this label, he released a considerable number of EPs and singles that dominated global charts and became authentic club anthems. His integration into the Defected family allowed him to undertake massive tours, standing out enormously at the coveted Defected In The House parties held in Ibiza and at multiple key festivals around Europe.

The FLOW Movement and Sonic Evolution

Seeking to expand his curatorial vision and offer a more personal platform, Rizardo founded FLOW. This project, which began as a popular weekly radio show, soon transformed into a successful event brand and gave life to the record label LTF Records (Listen To Flow). With FLOW, Franky managed to establish renowned residencies and organize his own stages at top-tier festivals, bringing together a loyal community of underground house lovers. At the same time, his sound evolved organically toward more avant-garde and minimalist facets of tech house, releasing on elite labels such as Rejected and Saved Records.

Present Day and Global Impact

Today, Rizardo is recognized as one of the greatest exponents of the contemporary clubber sound and one of the most solid figures in the Dutch electronic scene. He maintains a demanding performance schedule that continuously takes him on tour through America, Asia, Europe, and Oceania, being a regular headliner at events such as Tomorrowland, Creamfields, and the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE). His tireless dedication to the studio and his undeniable ability to constantly renew himself ensure that he continues to set trends in the evolution of dance music worldwide.
