Florent Hugel, known worldwide in the music industry as HUGEL, is a prominent DJ, record producer, and hitmaker born on December 4, 1987, in Marseille, France. Growing up by the Mediterranean Sea, he was exposed to immense cultural wealth. His mother raised him under the influence of funk, soul, and disco, which planted the seeds of his passion for music. At the early age of 16, HUGEL discovered the art of mixing with vinyl, strongly inspired by legends of the electronic scene such as Carl Cox, Laurent Garnier, Daft Punk, and David Guetta. After perfecting his technique and exploring music production for several years, his talent began to open doors for him in the demanding European club scene.

Rise to International Success

HUGEL's leap to global fame occurred in 2017 following his collaboration with Robin Schulz on the hit track I Believe I'm Fine, which quickly achieved gold certification. His definitive consolidation as a global superstar came in 2018 thanks to his remix of the celebrated anthem Bella Ciao by El Profesor, popularized by the television series La Casa de Papel. Subsequently, in 2021, HUGEL released his acclaimed anthem Morenita, in collaboration with Cumbiafrica.
