Biography of Jessy Nimni

Hypnotic Wednesdays in Miami Beach

At Do Not Sit On The Furniture, the Miami Beach club that Behrouz and Megan Nazari turned into the home of organic house, Jessy Nimni holds the pulse of the most sought-after Wednesday night in the local scene. As the creative and musical director of the venue and head of the Do Not Sit On The Furniture Recordings label, he cultivates a deep, hypnotic, and community-driven identity: a dancefloor designed to last, not just for a seasonal headline.

A Technics, a cassette, and ten thousand vinyls

Raised between Israel and the Netherlands, at age 13 he received his first Technics turntable and spent hours transferring vinyl sessions to cassette. That obsession turned into a collection of over 10,000 records and an early role within the Israeli scene, back when electronic dance music was still making its way through vinyl promos arriving from Europe and the United States. In Tel Aviv, he held residencies at Haoman 17, Pacha, Dome, and Vox; in Europe, he left his mark at Escape (Amsterdam) and Berghain (Berlin). In the booth, he has shared the stage with Guy J, Shai T, Tim Green, Tiësto, David Guetta, Danny Tenaglia, Mark Knight, Claude Von Stroke, and Blond:ish. He also provided sound direction for Raspoutine Miami.

House that stays after the night

As a producer, he works on the frontier of organic house, progressive house, and melodic house: hypnotic groove, emotional tension, and harmonic narratives. In 2012, he released Give Me Love on Tiësto's label, a track that Tiësto himself featured on Club Life. The EP Der Tag Ist Gekommen (Voyeur, 2021), with Barak Suban, reached the Beatport Top 10 and received support from Solomun, Eelke Kleijn, Claude Von Stroke, Kiss FM, and Radio FG. Presence, alongside SpringHill on Hoomidaas, and The Secret We Found (2026), with Lucas Zárate on Do Not Sit On The Furniture Recordings—expanded with remixes by Artic White and Tamir Regev—confirm that line between emotion and the dancefloor. On the radio, he hosts Atmospheric Stories.

Club, label, and the next generation

Settled in Miami, he shares the baton of Do Not Sit with Megan: maintaining the soul that Behrouz left in the room while the label and the dancefloor speak to each other. He promotes emerging DJs, teaches DJing and electronic production classes in Cooper City (Florida), and continues to understand electronic music as a craft of vinyl, community, and long sessions. More than 25 years after those cassettes, his criteria have not changed: the music must move the body and, above all, leave something inside when the lights go out.
