Joshua Baker, known worldwide in the underground scene as Josh Baker, was born and raised in the city of Manchester, United Kingdom. From his early teens, he felt a connection to dance culture. While he was first drawn to the frenetic pace of drum and bass and classic UK garage, the real turning point came at sixteen when he discovered house. The definitive spark occurred at seventeen at his first rave at the legendary club Sankeys in his hometown. That revelatory nightlife experience on the dance floor drove him to dedicate his life to perfecting his technique behind the decks and forging a thriving career as a DJ and producer.

The Creation of You&Me and the Success of Hide&Seek

Faced with difficulties in securing gigs in his early days, the young talent from Manchester showed great entrepreneurial vision. In 2015, Josh Baker brought his project You&Me to life. What began as clandestine gatherings, powered by a generator in open fields in the north of England, evolved into one of the most influential underground brands on the British scene. The overwhelming success of his parties allowed for expansion into other cities and led to acclaimed residencies in the mecca of clubbing, Ibiza. In addition to consolidating this project as the prestigious label You&Me Records, his passion led him to co-found the Hide&Seek Festival. This annual event, held at Capesthorne Hall in Cheshire, brings together thousands of lovers of cutting-edge electronic music to enjoy great international talents.

SYNTHO: Mentorship and Leadership of a New Wave

Josh Baker's commitment goes far beyond the dance floors; he feels a responsibility to guide the next generations. For this reason, the Briton founded SYNTHO, an innovative online music production academy and global community. Through immersive tutorials and masterclasses, Baker shares his vast knowledge of sound design, allowing hundreds of emerging artists to perfect their beats.
