Cagliostro, the maxi that anchored them to Life and Death

In 2012, Cagliostro appeared on Life and Death and made it clear that Mind Against was not just another duo on the Italo-Berlin circuit: it was a project of brothers raised in Milan, who spent time in London and honed their craft in the Berlin club scene, with dense, melodic, and cinematic techno. The name was coined in 2011, after years of rock—one on drums and the other on vocals—and discovering the dark dancefloors of their city. That first track, and the EPs Atlant (2013), Avalon (2014), and Strange Days (2015), defined a language of their own: dramatic breaks, precise arpeggios, closed snares, and a constant contrast between melancholy and dancefloor tension.

Walking Away, Afterlife, and Pete Tong's radio

The scene claimed them as selectors as much as producers. Remixes for Art Department, Róisín Murphy, and Green Velvet; collaborations with Tale Of Us (Astral), Locked Groove, and Somne; and a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix in September 2016 that summarized their four-handed sessions, designed as a narrative rather than a back-to-back. With the jump to Afterlife came Solaris with Ae:ther, then Days Gone, Explorer, and, in 2020, Walking Away, one of the most downloaded tracks on Beatport that year. Changes (2021), a second Essential Mix in May 2021, Dreamcast (2022), and Freedom with Dyzen coincided with fabric presents Mind Against, a mix and night curated at the Farringdon club.

HABITAT, label, visuals, and community

In June 2023 they launched HABITAT: a label, art platform, and audiovisual series. They debuted with Criseide alongside Sideral and the compilation Metaflora. In the spring of 2024, the show landed at the Roundhouse in London; Love Seeking returned them to Life and Death, with a remix by Âme. They have continued to release OnlyL (with TSHA and NIMMO), FLORAL, and CANT U HEAR ME / TRUST with CAY, Jericho (2025), and Late at Night (2026), in addition to re-interpretations for Röyksopp, Adriatique, Moby, WhoMadeWho, Camelphat, and RÜFÜS DU SOL.

Long sets, from Lyon to Tomorrowland

Live, their trademark is immersive and marathon sessions: Cercle at the Musée des Confluences in Lyon, All Night Long at fabric, Coachella, Tomorrowland, Loveland, and full-day events at Thuishaven. Now based in Lisbon, they maintain HABITAT as their own territory—music, design, and party—and remain a reference for melodic techno and long-form house.
