The twisted electro born next to The Third Ear

On dancefloors where techno folds into electro and breakbeat, Mor Elian has refined a voice that is hard to label: broken rhythms, corrosive bass, and a sound design that prefers detail over easy force. Raised in Tel Aviv among skaters, drum and bass raves, and the parties she organized as a teenager, at sixteen she worked in a skate shop across from The Third Ear, the city's vinyl reference point. There, her ear was formed—krautrock, jazz, noise, Aphex Twin—before moving in 2005 to Los Angeles to study art. In California, she spent a decade as a DJ, producer, and programmer, and co-founded with Jimmy Maheras Into The Woods, a party that brought pioneers like K-Hand, Andrés, Theo Parrish, or Moodymann to the West Coast. In 2012, she DJed on Dublab and ended up heading the monthly show Plaza 2 Plaza.

Fever AM and percussion as a signature

The EP 323 to Plaza (Prime Numbers, 2015) coincided with her move to Berlin. The following year, Drum Vortex (Hypercolour) left behind more literal house: dense kicks, dub techno, and a sharper identity. With her artistic partner Rhyw, she founded the label Fever AM, inaugurated with Cymatic Ring, and from there she followed up with Fairplex Drive on Radio Matrix, Persona Non Grata on Hypercolour, and a series of her own EPs—Move Like Atoms, Radical Spectacular, Diva Test, Glue Kit, Double Dip, Jelly Tip—where broken programming beats the four-to-the-floor. She has also released on Delft and Visible Spectrum (Clairvoyant Frog) and signed a sample pack for Splice. As a DJ, the criteria is the same as in the studio: change the temperature, drop a track that "shakes" the floor, and do not provide instant gratification.

Alloy Sea, Rinse FM and Solid Space

The alias Alloy Sea allowed her to step out of the club: Petrichor (2020), a fifty-minute piece, and the album XOOMIN (Paralaxe Editions, 2022), between ambient, IDM, and playful electronica. She is a resident on Rinse FM with the Fever AM space and has performed at Sónar, Primavera Sound, Dekmantel, Draaimolen, Atonal, Free Rotation, and Sustain-Release, in addition to back-to-back sets with Helena Hauff, Pariah, Piezo, or Alarico. In November 2025, she released her debut Solid Space on the Amsterdam label topo2, written during her pregnancy amidst ambient textures, IDM structures, and experimental electronica, with collaborations from Jonas Friedlich and Zoe Polanski. In 2026, she returned to the dancefloor with Built In Waves on Fever AM. Today, with European booking at Unfold Artists, she maintains the Berlin label and the link to the Los Angeles scene: less extreme tempo spectacle, more narrative, oddity, and club craft.
