Booth, piano, and kick drums in Ostrava

In the Czech region of Moravia-Silesia, Nemesys has turned techno into a precision craft: DJ, producer, sound designer, and recording engineer trained on the piano, with over two decades of exploring how the computer can DJ and compose at the same time. From Ostrava, he was one of those who paved the way for software DJing and production techniques that were barely circulating in the local circuit at the time, with a pianist's ear applied to the booth.

Mortal Techno Combat, the rave born on the fringes

Between 2001 and 2002, together with Radim Alaksa, he organized the first parties in Ostrava of what would end up being called Mortal Combat —later Mortal Techno Combat—, a benchmark local rave. There, he played live with Propellerhead Reason alongside Raa.o on vinyl; later, he promoted the Mortal Combat Rebirth phase, with new editions —including a branch in Prague— and sessions designed for that dance floor, such as Clean Cut, Dark Matter, or the Alpha set captured on November 23, 2018, at the FM Electronic event. He keeps long mixes, including Escape from Bermuda triangle, lasting over an hour and a half.

Keylabel and the Czech factory of dark techno

At the helm of the Keylabel label, he releases the techno he signs as Nemesys MTC: Endurance, Origin, Impression, ACID, and the most recent Pathfinder, with passages designed on a Moog Sub 37. His booth sound moves between dark techno and energetic minimal. The studio set Black magic, recorded live with Traktor Kontrol S2, reached the Czech Techno Manufactory program on Art Style: Techno with Dj Franke (episode 34). In that orbit, he has shared the bill with names from the Czech circuit such as Pavel Krejdl, Toky, Daho, Ginger, Radan Just, or Lady Frog, and in 2023 he performed at the Sweetsen Fest in Frýdek-Místek and at the Resonance night at the Stoun club.

From Pražmo hip hop to design for film and video games

Before the four-on-the-floor, there was hip hop: with Pražmo Squad, under the supervision of Martin Saglena, he recorded tracks for the local circuit and the cut žena from the Paranormal project. His brother David later introduced him to electronic music —jungle, tekkno, techno, and drum and bass—. Today, he combines sessions on Traktor Kontrol S2 with live parts from Maschine JAM, and has extended his work to sound design for film and video games, in addition to ambient and orchestral pieces. He remains active with releases and sets, with Keylabel as his home and the Czech dance floor as his natural territory.
