Nic Vesperi, the artistic project of Nicolas Carvalho Diaz, is a Colombian DJ and producer based in Madrid, whose music connects Latin groove with the precision of contemporary tech house. His bond with rhythm was born in Colombia, surrounded by salsa, bachata, and reggaeton, and began to take shape between 2015 and 2016, when he started producing, DJing, and training with producer Chris Sam. Before dedicating himself fully to music, he also had a sports career: he played hockey in France, spent time in Nantes and Lyon, was selected for the Colombian national team in 2017, and studied French and Business Administration in Lyon.

From Lyon to the music business in Madrid

In 2018, after coming of age, he traveled to France for sports and lived there for several years. The lockdown in France became a creative turning point: he dedicated long days to the studio, sent music to labels and artists, and strengthened a discipline that he later brought to Spain. In Madrid, he studied Music Business, learning that helped him understand the industry from the perspective of the artist, promoters, labels, publishers, and festivals. That combination of craft, strategy, and production marked the takeoff of his career, with a sound focused on robust grooves, detailed percussion, and basslines designed for the club.

His growth in the Spanish capital was consolidated around Space of Sound and LAB theClub, where he has been announced as a resident and a new face of the brand. During that period, he shared lineups or booth contexts with names like Loco Dice, Dennis Ferrer, Franky Rizardo, Claptone, Hot Since 82, Ilario Alicante, Marco Faraone, Eats Everything, Shermanology, and Tony Romera, in addition to performing at venues in Madrid such as Marula Club. His live profile is supported by Latin-rooted house, minimalist-hitting tech house, and a very physical reading of the dancefloor.
