Italo Body Music, a hybrid with its own name

The punch of EBM and the melodies of italo disco intersect in Pablo Bozzi's sets to form their own language: Italo Body Music. From Berlin, the DJ, producer, and live artist treats the dance floor like a narrative: new beat, nineties trance, industrial, and house follow one another with the precision of a composer.

Ten years of harpsichord and the Toulouse scene

He trained in harpsichord at the Toulouse National Conservatory from the age of six to fifteen, before producing electronic music in high school. Later, he studied sound design in Montpellier. Italo and synthwave came to him through his Italian father; the cinema of John Carpenter, Ennio Morricone, and giallo continues to filter into his tracks. In Toulouse, he promoted the Toulouse Gouffre Club collective and released pieces such as Body Double and Reach for the Lasers on Ritmo Fatale. In August 2017, he moved to Berlin to work with Templer. There, he left behind the alias Lapse Of Reason, under which he signed darker EBM—the Sorrows EP on aufnahme + wiedergabe—and at the end of 2019, he began releasing under the name he is known by, seeking a more personal sound.

From Bite and Dischi Autunno to Second Sight

The solo chapter consolidated in 2020 with Walk on Wire (Bite) and Last Moscow Mule (Dischi Autunno), the label of Jennifer Cardini, with whom he has also mixed B2B and co-programmed at Nuits Sonores. 2022 focused on Ghost of Chance (Dischi Autunno), Magnetisma (Bite), and Street Reign (Pinkman). This was followed by Danger Zone, Mindscape, Testify, the Fantasy EP (2024), and a warmer turn towards late-nineties house and progressive: Neon Dreams and Higher, with Lexi L'acqua. In 2026, the Wired EP arrives.

Second Sight, his Berlin-based label, was born in 2023 with the Unknown Prospect compilations and has been relaunched as a hybrid club music platform. In parallel, he is the musical director of EGONLAB: collection soundtracks, an installation with Devialet at the Palais de Tokyo, and the dance short film COR.

Resident at Khidi, Boiler Room, and long-term duos

He is a resident at Khidi in Tbilisi. His Boiler Room set at that club, recorded in 2022, was among the platform's most iconic sessions that year. In Berlin, he has played at Panorama Bar and maintains a close relationship with HÖR. The map is completed by Nuits Sonores, the Boiler Room in Gdansk with Infravision, and a FIP 360 at the Hôtel de la Monnaie in Paris.

Parallel projects have been a laboratory for that hybrid: Imperial Black Unit with Templer, for EBM and industrial; Infravision with Kendal—italo, EBM, and early trance—closed in 2024 after the album Illegal Future and a farewell tour; and Soft Crash with Phase Fatale, still active, from Spritzkrieg and Your Last Everything to the NRG EP.
