Biography of pluko
Breath, sixteen years and a new name
The instrumental Breath, released in 2016 alongside pronouncedyea, put pluko on the map of American future bass while he was still in high school. The vocal version Feel the Fire, released by ICONS, consolidated that breakthrough: both tracks have over twenty million streams on Spotify. He started releasing as Pluto and around 2018 adopted the name pluko. He grew up in Hollidaysburg, a town in Pennsylvania on the outskirts of Altoona, between EDM, Phoenix and Vampire Weekend, and turned his bedroom into a studio.
The call from ODESZA and the body of sixteen
ODESZA brought him into Foreign Family Collective. On August 17, 2018, sixteen was released, a mostly instrumental album designed to be listened to from beginning to end, far from the logic of the easy drop. That same season he supported ODESZA—with a stop at Red Rocks—and performed at Coachella, HARD Summer, Electric Forest, Ultra Music Festival, Sundara, Firefly and the Capitol Hill Block Party. He also toured the United States with Flight Facilities and Elderbrook. The duo's label eventually pushed the project to over 100 million streams.
COLOR BLIND, Splendid Society and BLEACH
With Splendid Society—a label, clothing brand, and creative collective he started with childhood friends—he released the mixtape CLASS XIX (2019) and the album COLOR BLIND (May 2020), which reached No. 7 on iTunes and No. 13 on Apple Music. The multicolored palette of that era extended to the EPs Baby Blue (2020) and Taste (2022). In May 2023 came BLEACH [Hi-Fi], a rawer full-length accompanied by an album film.
OXY, HÖR and the EDM record
OXY1* (2024), OXY2* and the album OXY (2025) pushed the sound toward distortion, trap, and a dark rave aesthetic. In 2024 he collaborated with Marshmello on Forever, with Disco Lines on FEEL IT and with Louis The Child and Laszewo on Slow; in June of that year he performed at HÖR (Berlin). On June 26, 2026, he released EDM on Boom Records, an eleven-track album featuring ISOxo. In Europe and the UK, he is represented by DISK Agency. In March 2025, he signed management with Hallwood Media. His recent tour includes North American clubs and ARC Music Festival in Chicago.
