Long-standing residency at Moog

In Barcelona's Raval district, Rubén Seoane has turned the Moog DJ booth into his home turf. He played there for the first time in 2011 and, a year later, became part of the resident team. More than a decade later, he continues to appear on the club's schedule, from weeknight sets to all-night-long sessions, with a take on dancefloor techno that isn't confined to a single tempo or school of thought.

A vinyl collector for about twenty years, he builds his sets as an open journey: techno, acid, electro, and industrial, with experimental subgenres when the dancefloor demands it. The criteria isn't the label, but rather maintaining energy and surprising the crowd without breaking the flow. At Moog, he has shared the night with, among others, Thomas P. Heckmann, Petar Dundov, and Convextion.

Persephonic Sirens and the move to production

The leap to the studio came with the help of Ancient Methods. In 2021, he released his first EP, Disinformation, on Persephonic Sirens (PS012), featuring File 19, Acid Gate, Disinformation, and Countdown: hypnotic and dry industrial techno, designed for vinyl and the dark dancefloor. In April 2024, Solstice (PS026) arrived, four tracks—Shortcut, Silk Hunter, Solstice, and Through the Fog—that delve into an abrasive, elegant, and club-ready sound, halfway between industrial and electro.

In parallel, he has signed remixes for Substencia (Irrational Fear, Kallkällan, 2022), Groof (Stalker, SUB TL, 2023), and Red Deviil (Turbion Transbolico, Tjalk Records, 2025), and has contributed original tracks to compilations: Hoag's Object on the fifth anniversary of 5OIL Records, Grid Disruption on Terra Maledicta (Rapture, 2025), Skyrmion on Never Enough (Murder Records, 2025), and Orbital Approach on UNHAPPY HARDCORE Vol. 1 from the Athenian label Bdrm Brdm (2026).

From Barcelona to Tresor and Khidi

Based in Barcelona, his circuit is not limited to Moog. He has played at Laut and The Loft at Razzmatazz, and outside of Spain at Tresor (Berlin) and Khidi (Georgia). In June 2025, he was part of the Technics 60th-anniversary week at Moog, strictly on vinyl. Today, he remains a figure of continuity in Barcelona's underground electronic scene: a club resident, a producer linked to Persephonic Sirens, and a long-distance selector on the dancefloor.
