House as the living memory of Ibiza

His way of building a set starts from a recognizable idea: making the elegance of classic house, the Balearic pulse, and an open reading of the dancefloor coexist. Born in Buenos Aires and raised in Ibiza since the age of four, Sebastian Gamboa was formed within the island's nightlife culture and began his professional activity in 1990. The booths of Pacha, Privilege, Amnesia, and Space consolidated his profile as one of the pioneers of Spanish house. His selection combines house foundations, Latin accents, soul, disco, and deep house, with special attention to vocals, percussion, and live instruments.

From Balearic People to his own brand

Since 2002, he was a resident of Balearic People. In 2006, he began a monthly residency at Pacha Ibiza alongside Def Mix, sharing the lineup with Frankie Knuckles and David Morales; the following year he went on to direct his own weekly night, Pacha Classics, later renamed Pacha Seduction. In 2011, he created Vintage by Sebastian Gamboa, a party conceived to recover the essence of the first great house nights in Ibiza without being anchored in nostalgia. The concept has passed through Pacha Ibiza, Ocean Beach Ibiza, and Ushuaïa Tower, in addition to traveling to cities such as Barcelona, Madrid, Milan, Moscow, and Cancun. In 2026, Vintage celebrates its sixteenth season at Lío Ibiza, with a residency every Friday and a proposal that mixes timeless classics, contemporary house, disco, soul, and saxophone, violin, and vocal performances.

Records, compilations, and sound design

His studio career began with House Seasons E.P. in 1998 for Weekend Records. Later came titles such as Basabbah Dubs, Gatinha Gostosa, Lover Boy, Sweet Sonora alongside Nuboy, Pepita 16, La Vida with David Penn, Muevelo, Feel It, and From Rusia with Sex alongside Nacho Serrano. In parallel, his compilation series Las Tardes en Ibiza and Vintage Ibiza transferred his booth criteria to record format and reached prominent sales positions in Spain.

Among his recognitions are the award for Best Ibiza DJ at the 2007 DJ Awards, the Best Soulful and Deep House DJ at the 2009 Deejay Mags, the Best Ibiza DJ at the 2011 DJ Oners, and the Best Musical Compilation for Las Tardes en Ibiza at the 2014 Muchoticket Awards. In 2019, he expanded his activity with Ibiza Songs, a company oriented towards sound identity and sensory marketing. That aspect led in 2025 to his work as a musical advisor and creator of the sound identity for The Unexpected Hotels. His current position unites three facets: resident DJ, producer, and musical director of a party brand closely linked to the memory and evolution of Ibizan house.
