Swedish melody with a stadium vocation

Between the melodic shimmer of Swedish progressive house and the architecture of large stages, Alesso has built a recognizable identity: expansive drops, high-impact pop vocals, and an emotional tension that works just as well on the radio as it does at festivals. His name became associated with a generation of Scandinavian producers who took club electronic music to a global scale, with a steady presence at events like Ultra Music Festival, Tomorrowland, EDC, Creamfields, and Coachella.

From Stockholm demos to Ingrosso's radar

Musically trained from childhood on the piano and later drawn to electronic production, he began releasing his own material in 2010 with the Alesso EP. The decisive push came when Sebastian Ingrosso, a member of Swedish House Mafia, took an interest in his demos and opened the door to the Refune label. In that early stage, he solidified his signature with remixes like the one for Pressure by Nadia Ali, Starkillers, and Alex Kenji, and with tracks that defined the language of 2010s melodic EDM: Calling (Lose My Mind) alongside Ingrosso and Ryan Tedder, Years with Matthew Koma, and City of Dreams with Dirty South and Ruben Haze.

Pop anthems without losing club tension

His international projection grew with Under Control, a collaboration with Calvin Harris and Hurts, and reached a point of maximum visibility with Heroes (We Could Be) alongside Tove Lo, one of his best-known anthems. In 2015, he released Forever, his debut album, expanding his formula toward electronic pop songs without abandoning festival epicness. Since then, he has linked collaborations with OneRepublic, Hailee Steinfeld, Florida Georgia Line, Anitta, Liam Payne, Katy Perry, Zara Larsson, David Guetta, Becky Hill, Martin Garrix, SACHA, and Pendulum. His remix of If I Lose Myself by OneRepublic was nominated for a Grammy, reinforcing his profile as a producer capable of transforming a pop song into dancefloor material.

BodyHi and a second reading of the Alesso sound

In addition to his main releases, he has been opening space for a more club-oriented and less obvious facet. The mixtape PROGRESSO VOLUME 1 already pointed to that need to recover dancefloor muscle, and in 2024 he gave shape to BodyHi, a label and live concept presented around Zig Zag and the Hypnotize EP. That line coexists with recent singles like Never Going Home Tonight, Surrender, Destiny, FADE, Turn Up The Bass, and In Your Eyes. The combination of residencies, large stages, pop collaborations, and his own label laboratory places Alesso in a hybrid position: a massive festival figure with enough technical range to continue readjusting his sound toward house, big room, and club electronics.
