Groove as a DJ booth signature

At Panorama Bar, Cinthie's house is recognizable from the first snare hit: a thread that connects the swing of New York, the rawness of Chicago, and the energy of Berlin. She has been collecting vinyl since 1995 and DJs like someone curating a shop: every record is chosen so the groove never breaks, whether it's deep, vocal, or stripped-back. It is no coincidence that many call her the Berlin queen of house.

Saarbrücken, Flash, and the independent turn

Born in East Berlin, she grew up in Saarbrücken after the fall of the Wall. There, at sixteen, she started working at Humpty Records and learned to mix between the shelves. In 1997, she was a weekend resident at Flash, on the outskirts of Frankfurt, until the club discovered she wasn't eighteen yet. Westbam signed her in 1999 to Electric Kingdom, a sub-label of Low Spirit: she released electro as Vinyl Princess and played in Japan and Mexico. She returned to Berlin in 2001, left the label, and starting in 2004, organized illegal raves—including Rafgier—in factories, squats, and an old power plant. After motherhood, in 2012 she founded Beste Modus with Diego Krause, stevn.aint.leavn, Ed Herbst, and Albert Vogt. The white labels sold out in hours. A Boiler Room in 2014 and four years of weekly residency at Watergate, with the Cinthie Invites… nights, placed her on the international circuit.

Crystal Grooves, Elevate, and the global dancefloor

In 2018, she opened the Elevate shop in Berlin—where she hand-selects every release alongside her husband, house artist Meat—and the label 803 Crystal Grooves, later the sub-label Collective Cuts, as well as we_r house. The debut album Skylines – City Lights (Aus Music, 2020) and the DJ-Kicks from 2022 for !K7 marked a catalog leap, following EPs like Trust and Mesmerizing on Aus and remixes for Tensnake, Dusky, or Scuba. She has also released on Heist and Shall Not Fade, and in 2025 she relaunched her label with You Know How EP and Look Mom! No Piano EP. She has brought her live machines to Sónar and MUTEK. In July 2025, ARTE Concert filmed her set of over three hours at the Stone Techno festival. She remains one of the most solid voices in contemporary house: independent, vinyl-focused, and dancefloor-ready.
