Ministry of House, the night that never lets go

In Banská Bystrica there is a session that marks the Slovak house calendar: Ministry of House. Dave Eremias sustains it from within, first at Ministry of Fun and now also at EPIC Praga, with a physical, vocal sound without posturing: house that pushes, electro that cuts, and a selection criteria that doesn't forgive filler.

The leap from Zvolen to the big booth

He started DJing in 2006 at one of the big clubs in Zvolen. Ministry of Fun gave him the trade: in less than a year he was already behind that desk. In 2011 he was a resident of what was then presented as the biggest club in Slovakia and, at the same time, handled advertising and room operations. That stage welcomed Paul van Dyk, Bob Sinclar, and Chuckie to Banská Bystrica. One of his first headlining nights at Ministry Zvolen opened with Hot Hot Hotter by Laidback Luke; in 2011 he coincided with him at Ministry of Fun and, fourteen years later, they shared the stage again at EPIC Praga. The same thread connects his dancefloor memory with Benny Benassi: Hit My Heart was the track that got him fully into electronic music.

Joker, Vamos and the big room era

In 2014 he signed two releases that are still on Spotify, Beatport, and Apple Music: Joker, together with Ondrey Landers on Jackland Records, with a remix by Phil Phauler, and Vamos with A.N.D. on Complex Drop Records. Those tracks—electro house and festival big room—later reappeared on compilations by Rimoshee Traxx and Clubbers Culture. In the booth, he defined his mix as house, electro, and progressive, with a specific requirement: only the track that has the energy he wants to leave with the audience gets in.

Residents, podcast and the Prague-Slovakia axis

Ministry of House was born in 2008 with Dave, EMTY, and MUSTEE. DJ Mag today places that night, together with Anndy and Izzy, as a residency at Ministry of Fun, a venue that in 2024 entered the magazine's Top 100 Clubs. The project maintains an official podcast that exceeds a hundred episodes. Since 2017 Eremias has been the manager of EPIC Praga, the club on Revoluční, and appears week after week in its programming: Sunday Rituals of afro house, Casa de Afro, Saturday club nights, and the transfer of Ministry of House to Prague, in addition to supporting acts like Sick Individuals or Dyro b2b Dannic. Between Banská Bystrica and Prague, he continues to be the bridge: he books, plays, and sustains the night that started in Slovakia and now beats on two shores.
