The percussive pulse of Parisian house

On the dancefloors of Paris, Fatzo became known for a house sound defined by nervous drums: short swings, micro-samples, and a groove born from his background as a funk drummer. That rhythmic mindset is what Alexandre Dessaux describes as the mixing and percussion foundation of Oden & Fatzo, the live act that has taken a blend of house, UK garage, minimal, and breakbeat from the underground scene to Defected, Tomorrowland, and the OVO Wembley Arena.

Saké Records and the interstellar drift

The alias began as a duo; when Lorenzo left, Fatzo continued solo and crossed paths with Oden—Abel Drouet and Alexandre Dessaux—at a festival that didn't pay them. Their first joint live set in Paris dates back to late 2017: Oden came from Electronic Feeling and Fatzo from the Latence System collective. In 2019, they founded Saké Records, a house, minimal, and techno label with a space-themed narrative and collaborations with Herr Krank, THEOS, Baccus, or Romeo Louisa. The live show is built with hardware—drum machines, synthesizers, grooveboxes—and the astronaut suits that have turned the performance into a recognizable visual signature in Ibiza, London, or Las Vegas.

Lauren, the accident that changed everything

The edit of Lauren by Men I Trust, sped up with a beat and a violin, was released almost quietly. Jamie Roy played it, Shazam spiked, and the track—re-recorded as an official version after sample issues—surpassed one hundred million streams on Spotify, achieving gold record status in the UK and Australia and platinum in Ireland. Remixes by Jamie Roy and Claptone expanded its impact. Coming from vinyl minimal, Fatzo has mentioned that at first, he was embarrassed by the track for being too bright. That turn opened up vocals, funk, and live instruments, and a close relationship with Defected Records: Lady Love with Camden Cox, Tell Me What You Want with Poppy Baskcomb—a silver record in the UK—, the RAW EP with THEOS, Only You with Noa Milee, the official remix of All Night Long by David Guetta and Kungs, and a debut album announced on Defected for 2026.

Hardware, Boiler Room, and the global dancefloor

The Boiler Room at FLY Open Air 2022 established the live act to the world. Later came Cercle Festival, EDC Las Vegas, Electric Forest, Tomorrowland, Monegros, Space Miami, III Points, Ushuaïa, DC10, Amnesia, and New Year's Eve with Defected at Wembley. Today, the project often performs as a duo, between Paris and Lisbon, and Fatzo continues to champion a house sound that mixes nineties rap, French house, and breakbeat cuts without losing the rhythmic detail of minimal.
