Vinyl as a compass and clockless sessions

On dancefloors where vinyl still rules, Jane Fitz has become one of the most recognizable selectors in the British underground. Her sound jumps from 90s British acid to deep house, psychedelic techno, early trance, and ambient textures—not as an exercise in eclecticism, but as a way to follow the emotional pulse of each record. She has been DJing for over twenty-five years and works exclusively with vinyl, often in long or all-night sets, with the calm of someone who needs time to read the room.

Hong Kong, Peg and the pulse of London

Raised in London, she made the leap to electronic house and techno in Hong Kong in the late nineties. There, she learned to mix at the club CE-Top with the Robot party and played at venues like Jimmy's Sports Bar and Bar City, until a lack of a work visa brought her back to the UK around 1998. Between 1999 and 2009, she launched Peg, a series of itinerant raves that she promoted and closed herself. In 2012, she founded Night Moves with Jade Seatle, a London party designed for listening without distractions, featuring unannounced guests and schedules that could change throughout the night.

Freerotation, Pickle Factory and the international circuit

Her residency at the Welsh festival Freerotation—for which she was nominated for a DJ Mag Best of British award—put her on the international map. She has been a resident at London's Pickle Factory and held a monthly slot on Rinse FM. The circuit has taken her to Concrete, Tresor, Closer, and Panorama Bar, as well as Houghton, Dekmantel, Dimensions, Field Maneuvers, and Rural in Japan. In 2025, she closed the circle with a residency at the club 宀 in Hong Kong, the city where she trained as a club DJ.

Invisible Menders and the memory of East London

As a producer, she releases music calmly under Invisible Menders, a duo with Dom Ahtuam, on cult labels like Porn Wax, Boe Recordings, and Animals On Psychedelics. In 2026, she co-curated the compilation Mysterious Vastness with David Fogarty, a portrait of forgotten electronic music from East London in the nineties. Today, she continues to bet on vinyl, long residencies, and dancefloors where dancing is not filmed: from Panorama Bar to a psychedelic festival or a sunrise at Houghton.
