Music For Humans, the track that opened the big booths

Music For Humans burst onto the scene in 2023 in the sets of Black Coffee, Damian Lazarus, &ME, and Jimi Jules, placing Meera at the center of international Afro House. The debut was released on VOD, a label linked to Keinemusik, and already displayed a recognizable language: Afro and Latin percussion, angular house grooves, off-beat solo instruments, and pianos that envelop the dancefloor.

Basement rhythms, crate-digging, and a darker house

She was shaped in Stavanger with house, hard-house, and hip hop playing in the basement of her father, Vikram Prince Rai (DJ Prince), a DJ in the Norwegian scene since the eighties. She began producing in childhood and DJing at fourteen; as a teenager, she jumped from emo and rock to Daft Punk, French house, garage, and drum and bass. Before releasing on VOD, she self-released an album and several EPs. Her non-Western palette was consolidated through Keinemusik and Pablo Fierro, and through readings of African rock and disco from the seventies and eighties. The result is a darker, more personal Afro House that is difficult to pigeonhole.

From Rebellion to Damian Lazarus' roster

The EP Telefon, released on Rebellion, and the remix of Clean the Turbines confirmed that voice. Lazarus added her to his residency at Hï Ibiza, where she delivered long sets in the Club Room. In 2024, her debut on Crosstown Rebels arrived with Stikk, featuring remixes by Dennis Cruz and Tripolism. The collaboration with the Danish trio, Whatever We Call It, was chosen as Essential New Tune by Pete Tong. That same cycle saw Blomst and No Space on Crib Records, Corpus and Sirkustelt on Black Book Records, a Keinemusik Radio show, and the remix of Sunrise Generation for Lazarus.

Preikestolen, DGTL, and a now continental agenda

In 2025, she released No Title Yet. In 2026, she signed November to Cercle Records, a melodic breakbeat track inspired by the Cercle filming at Preikestolen, in her homeland of Rogaland. She has played at DGTL Amsterdam, Kater Blau in Berlin, Jaeger in Oslo, and Kunye in Johannesburg, and her booking is managed by Triple One. Today, Meera moves between the European club and festival circuit with a sound that continues to prioritize groove, rhythmic rarity, and an emotional charge unusual for the Afro House dancefloor.
