Huizen, Amsterdam and Ibiza as a vital axis

Chelina Manuhutu is a Dutch DJ and producer born in Huizen, in North Holland, and professionally linked to Amsterdam and Ibiza. Her artistic identity was born in a very musical family environment: she grew up surrounded by Latin, soul, funk, pop, rock and R&B sounds, with a musician father of Indonesian roots and a dancer mother. During her adolescence, she came into contact with turntables through her brother, also a DJ, and that first relationship with the DJ booth was pushed into the background while she developed an outstanding career as a model.

From fashion to club groove

After a decade in fashion, in 2011 she decided to focus professionally on music. The transition was not a superficial reinvention, but a return to a vocation that had been present since she was a child. Her arrival in Ibiza proved decisive: there she found a natural space for her sound, became strong at Blue Marlin Ibiza and later consolidated her presence at Pacha Ibiza, including a period linked to Solomun's nights. That journey gave her DJ booth experience, direct contact with international audiences and a very physical reading of the dance floor.

Basslines, funk and tech house with attitude

The sound of Chelina Manuhutu moves between tech house, house and techno, with a recognizable stamp of sharp basslines, marked percussion, funky swing, old school details and a very groovy energy. Her sets seek pressure without losing rhythmic sensuality, combining club forcefulness with a warm and urban selection. That personality has led her to perform on stages such as Electric Daisy Carnival, Ultra, elrow, Tomorrowland, ANTS, The Warehouse Project, Fabrik, Space Miami, Zouk Las Vegas, Hï Ibiza, Ushuaïa Ibiza and Paradise, in addition to maintaining a constant international schedule.

Production, labels and a new personal stage

As a producer, she has released music on labels such as Lemon-Aid Music, La Pera Records, 303Lovers, Hot Fuss, elrow Music and Drumcode. Among her releases, Ochibaba, Big G, Takes a Little Something, You’re So Fine, Freakiness, That 808 with Francisco Allendes and Amsterdam Rave, a track included in the Drumcode environment, stand out. In 2025 she reinforced her authorial side with music on Fresh Phatty Records, a label linked to her most recent stage, with tracks like Momma Shake That, Ghetto Glitch, Pains, House of Gato and Never Say Never. In 2026 she continued that line with Bassline Soldiers EP, exploring a mix of tech house and UK garage. Situated between Ibizan culture, studio discipline and the global club scene, Chelina Manuhutu remains a solid figure in international tech house.
