Miss Monique

Origins

Miss Monique is the artistic project of Olesia Arkusha, a DJ, producer, and label owner born in Kirovohrad and raised in Kyiv. She was shaped by the electronic scene as a teenager in the Ukrainian capital, where she developed an identity based on progressive house, melodic techno, traces of trance, and a very carefully curated narrative in the booth. Her image, marked by her green streak of hair, ended up becoming a recognizable signature both inside and outside the club.

Digital Rise

Although she was already an established name in Ukraine and neighboring countries, her global leap came with her podcasts and broadcasts on YouTube and SoundCloud, especially the Mind Games, MiMo Weekly, and MiMo Radio series. During the pandemic, those high-production sets recorded in studios or unique locations went viral and expanded her audience on an international scale. That approach distinguished her from much of her generation: she knew how to turn the classic radio mix format into a contemporary and easily identifiable audiovisual product.

Label and Discography

In 2019, she founded Siona Records, a platform designed to release her music and support new talent, with special attention to Ukrainian producers. The label celebrated its fifth anniversary in 2024 and in 2025 reinforced its expansion with distribution from Above Board / The Orchard / Sony. As an artist and remixer, she has released on Armada Music, Drumcode, Tomorrowland Music, Insomniac Records, and Aeterna. Her milestones include the remix of Rush by Sied van Riel, which was the best-selling progressive house track on Beatport in 2022, and releases such as Subterranean, Look At You, Bloom At Night, City Boy, Veselka, Nomacita, Rain, and Rollin'. She has also signed remixes or collaborations with works by David Guetta, OneRepublic, Sia, Moby, BLOND:ISH, and Lufthaus.

International Projection

Her growth has taken her to high-visibility stages and platforms such as Cercle at the Biosphere Museum in Montreal, Tomorrowland, Ultra Miami, EDC, Coachella, and BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix. After the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022, she was forced to leave the country; since then, based in Lisbon, she has turned her performances into a space for celebration and also solidarity with Ukraine. In 2025, she signed her first residency at Hï Ibiza, entered the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs for the first time at number 75, and won the 2025 DJ Award in the Progressive / Melodic category. In 2026, she maintains her presence at Hï Ibiza every Thursday, consolidated as one of the most visible figures in the progressive house / melodic techno axis.
